A facelift for CHM???

I'm kind of wanting to change things up a bit. We've had the same layout now almost since our inception back on EZ Boards. I like Harold, but maybe it's time to just do something fresh. So, if you log in during the next few days, be prepared that everything you know could have changed.

This is interesting. I think I may do the same as Staybrite and change my avatar when the facelift happens. Maybe I'll change it for another relative!!!

In all seriousness, I find the blue-and-orange to be a little chaotic. I'd like the colours to be bright but not crazy.

Also, the banner of buttons at the top (Index, FAQ, Search…) get mixed around when no one is logged in. Make those a little more streamlined, maybe?

We worked on these colors until most of the members here agreed they liked them and the found it pleasing to the eyes. That's where the color scheme came from.
Plus, I wanted it to be different from CMR both in look and content. We have done that.

I don't want anyone.....especially a 14 year old newbie.....telling me what I need to change or not change. You came in at the get-go telling me what I "needed" to do. I'll listen to suggestions, but I won't submit to someone who had just became a member and tries to tell me how to run my business like you did.

Everyone can guarantee that the text will stay larger for our older members regardless of what we do.

Trust me, I lurked for a while before joining. It was painful to scroll down every time, just to be able to see the actual contents of the page.

The website looks like CMR still, all that's been changed noticeably is one colour, the logo, and the text size.

The only suggestions I have: make Harold a teeny bit smaller; get some new buttons.

COLOR not colour....remember, when you're online you're in America, so spell the words correctly.

First: I'd like to say you guys did an excellent job on the initial format. I've always liked the format, colors (or as the French Canadians spell it: "Colours"), and the fonts are fine.

Second: I'm a big proponent of change. Though the current format is pleasing, a change-up would be welcome.

It'd be kinda cool to see a faux 3d format... but that might be a bit challenging

I'll admit, I kinda like the format we have now. But I haven't been here since the inception so it hasn't quite grown old to me yet. Although I'm sure you'l do a fantastic job Alldat!

I never consulted the Dictionary, believe it or not. There was this site jesus-is-savior.com and they quoted the Urban Dictionary to prove Stryper was evil.

Will this make the mobile version change too?

I have no idea what it will do to the mobile version. I don't use a mobile version. I just know that when I change skins that the place will look different. I would assume all versions will change.

So, tell me what you think. If I can't figure it out, then maybe I can get Topshot to fix it.

Who cares about the mobile version anyway? If you think some silly phone = internet, then you need to go thaw your brain.

Now adding a SMALL Harold would be nice.
