Anyone else have this album, from 1991, fronted by Dan McCabe of Daniel Band? What do you think?

I redrew the artwork in GraphicConverter, using the old artwork as a base. Although it's incomplete (the text and logo are different colours) it's a lot clearer than the stuff on Google Images.

I have the CD. While it has some good songs, it mostly is forgetable. Dan without Toni was just boring.

I agree. It is pretty good while listening to it, but after that I cannot not recall any of the music.
Not bad, but it does not have any songs that get stuck in your head.

+2.... I was disappointed with it...

Not to mention Toni needs Dan, because Toni's solo album was just as forgettable..... at least to me..... which was kind of a drag....

I liked it considerably better than either of Toni's albums. I much prefer Dan singing.

I always liked it, though none of the songs stuck with you as much as DB.

Actually there were a lot of bands on that label, Image, that were pretty good, if I remember right. I used to a have a sampler cassette that they sent out, years ago. It had a pink insert, which was rather strange. It had all the bands logos on the front of it.

I did like TRB a little better than the regular Toni Rossi cd, although both are good.

Daniel Band together was still the best for

I rather loved the album. It's not terribly memorable as you guys say, but it has a great overall sound and is tasty when mixed in a shuffle with other rock bands.

Dan and Toni really have a chemistry between them, I agree. I haven't heard TRB or the Loveā€¦ album. (links?)

I also noticed how there's a difference in lyrical content between DB and Dreamer. While DB is more about Christianity, Dreamer is more about life.

Trivia related to the album: the bassist for Dreamer (Bill Davidson) is now the bassist for the DB.

I have an audio-cassette named "Release" that has a preview from the Dreamer album too.

"Love In The City" just had too many ballads on it. The rockers on that album are just as good as Daniel Band. The TRB album, to me, is BETTER than Daniel Band. I love every single song on that release.

What style does TRB have? Is it like Daniel Band but bluesier?

The two together were so good that this was hard to stomach.

I agree with the Dreamer. But, I heard TRB long before I heard Daniel Band. So, I loved the album because of what it is--Toni's past wasn't being graded against this. So, I have a soft spot for TRB.

D'you think that TRB should be re-released?

I don't think a lot of people would buy it, so no.
