PostSubject: Scary things to do.   Tue Jul 06, 2010 8:26 am

We all have things we like or like so much.
There also are things we are not looking forward too.

Yesterday I had a thing I needed to do but was not looking forward too.

I'm having guitar lessons and when we get a summer break for guitar lessons there will be a guitar recital with all the students.
Last year was the first time and I was so nervous to play there in front of all the parents of the other students.
Yesterday we have had the yearly recita again.
Wasn't so nervous as last year.
Played very well in the last rehersal.

But then the moment comes I have to sit on stage with my guitar and all people are looking to me.
Wow, she's older than most students. ....... and more thoughts like this.
They told me it went well, but I still feel terrible about it.
I forgot what to play while I really could play this.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who is having things like this.

I was so very happy that I never had to give a recital back when I was taking guitar lessons. But I am certain you did well.

The first time I played with the band in front of our congregation at church I was also very scared. It took me a few times before I got over that feeling.

My guitar teacher asked a girl what here favorite song was.
She replied "the first song".
That was the song I played.

Your never too old to start!

I remember the first time I parachuted from an airplane. That was rather scary. But the second time was much more fun.

I'm not jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

If you'd ever flown with the U.S. Airforce you wouldn't use the word "perfectly good" when discussing much of their aircraft. When I was in the service I would much rather jump out of an Airforce airplane then have to land in one (much more scary)

Staybrite, I don't think the US Airforce will fly me to Vancouver?
In England the talk about an aircraft.
I think in the States the people call it an airplane of a plane isn't it?

Yes, for us it is either an airplane or plane. And, we have to be right since we invented the things!

Well aircraft covers all flying things, airplanes, helicopters, hot air balloons etc. We used to parachute out of both airplanes and helicopters.
