Subject: CAGE Sun May 04, 2008 7:00 am

So, I get the girdermusic update and it has Cage's new album on there. Are they a Christian band?

I have my doubts, but hey, what do I know!

Any ideas?

Only a couple of members are Christians. The lyrics this time do have some Christian themes. But, I have heard it said that there are a few "f-bombs" being dropped on the disc, too. I haven't heard it, so I cannot be for sure. I am simply repeating what I've read.

Not on the disc itself, I think that was from an interview.

Basically, Hell Destroyer is a fantasy epic based very loosely on biblical themes drawn from the Gosples and the book of Revelation. I would not consider it a Christian album in an evangelistic sense and it does not present Biblical doctrine, but unless you have a personal conviction against things like The Chronicles of Narnia or The Lord of the Rings, I can't see that it's too different. A bit darker maybe, but along the same lines.

That's correct as I'm the one who posted that information over at The Realm. No f-bombs on the disc but one or two said by the singer in an interview with BW&BK magazine. They aren't a Christian band unless they're doing an interview for a Christian magazine. Funny how that works sometimes. Haha. Honestly though I like this band and album and still play it quite often even though I've had it for quite a while now.

Yep, this is not a theological statement at all, just a good fantasy themed record with Biblical ties.
