What to do.....what to do.....

So after playing around with the AI song for inspiration, that has gotten the creative juices flowing again.  I have three original tunes mostly recorded, two rework older songs of mine, and now the hymn "No, Not One" all under construction.

Do I do an EP and release these songs to give me time to work on more, or just wait and donate full release?  I will be going back to work soon, so recording time will drastically get cut back.

I still haven't decided if these are Mission of One songs or D'Bare Bones Band songs.  They are rockers, but I am somewhere in the neighborhood of 80s and 90s ZZ Top.  I am not a lead player, but I can play Billy Gibbons' style for sure.  I can do the"less is more" kind of solos.  Regardless, this definitely isn't full blues and it isn't metal.

I definitely have some decisions to make.

5 or 6-song Maxi EP!!!!  With at least one cover song, chose something bluesy & rockin' to cover.  I would absolutely love to hear you do your southern rock style cover of this tune (like when you seem to channel that Molly Hatchet or ZZ Top vibe).  You can even add/edit the lyrics to give it your own spin

I was kinda leaning toward the EP.  I am working out the music for a seventh song, but that feels like enough this time.  

Anyone else want to ring in?

Maxi EP would be cool.  You could do a short instrumental intro which would take it to 8 tracks, and that's only 1 away from alot of albums anyway!

As for style, I'd love to hear some more Bare Bones!

For an update, there will be 9 songs total.  I am doing the leads for a couple of songs.  I will use the guitarist in  my band for a few.  I found a guy on Fivver that is reasonable as well that is able to do some cool bluesy licks as well.  So, there will be a mixed bag of who is playing on this.

It's great to hear you are still working on the new music!

This guy on Fivver was so good that I may let him do all the solos.  He is a much better player than I.  If I hadn't heard him, I would have done everything myself.  His work is worlds above what I can do.

Fiverr is awesome, and searching round it can be pretty cheap for some excellent and highly skilled musicians.

I've got 2 more songs to do on Fiverr, which hopefully will be done between Dec and Feb.

I look forward to a MO1 or D'Bare Bones, either one. But I lean more towards the MO1 sound as far as preference goes. Can't wait!

This really isn't either as far as still goes.  These songs are somewhat in the 80s ZZ Top sound.
