While I have never been able to find musicians who wanted to help make Mission Of One a thing, I am playing with a group of guys. We call ourselves Hard Road. We did our second gig on Monday night for a local program that houses homeless people during the winter months called "Room At The Inn". I set up my Fire tablet and a mic and recorded it. You can't hear the drums as they were electric and not turned up enough. The drummer also kept losing his sticks. Also, someone else was there videoing and I had asked him not to block my tablet as I was recording, but he did it multiple times.
Regardless, here is a link to the video. Take a listen and tell me what you think, please. We are a 70s rock/blues band with a Christian message.

Sounds great! Yes, the drums are light on the recording, but the sound is great!

We need a decent PA. We need to tighten up intros and outros. Sadly, the singer and drummer want to make changes every time we practice and then we end up having a train wreck. We need to nail down those parts. Hopefully, we can do that since we are recording some of these songs for an EP.

Very cool! I'm glad to hear you are still playing with these guys. Would love to hear some recordings, assuming your drummer and singer can ever figure out what they want to do!

Cool album cover idea Fundy! (even if it is AI, you had to give it all the prompts)

We have recorded 5 songs so far and are set to begin recording 5 more very soon. One of those songs with be our version of "I'm Such A Fool" from my recent Mission Of One album. Our version doesn't have the big backing vocals and just comes off bluesier overall. It will fit nicely with our 70s rock vibe.
The first 5 songs we have done have a Skynyrd vibe as well as some Pink Floyd and Grand Funk Railroad mixed in. We were not really shooting for that, but as we have had to work together to blend styles and influences, this is where we have ended up.
I can't wait to share the songs with everyone!
