Maybe I was just in the mood for something different than the music I had purchased in the last year, or maybe Narnia just outdid themselves. This new album is already a contender for album of the year for me.

Oh wow, that is a heavy endorsement. I didn't get this one myself. I do have a few of the bands albums but I've just kind of grown "tired" (for lack of a better term) of Christian's vocals in the last decade. It is super cool that the band released new music though.

Yes, I'm going to give it a miss too. There's a number of CD's I want to buy this year, and Narnia (whilst being really good) isn't right at the top of the list. This year, my money is on the following albums...
Flood - #2 Whitecross - New album Bride - Eyes Wide Open EP Bride - Are You Awake Bride - Kinetic Demos Bride - Snakes Demos X-Sinner - New album Theocracy - New album Stairway - New Album Disciple - Skeleton Hymns All For The King - New album Petra - New album (?)
All those are above Narnia at the moment.

Ghost Town is FANTASTIC. Christian sounds fantastic, the guitar work is stellar but tasteful, and the lyrics are refreshingly straightforward. Christian AotY at this point.

Is X-Sinner actually working on something or is this wishful thinking? I haven’t checked out their website in ages. It seems like their website is from 1996, it’s so basic so I haven’t checked it out in a long time.

I know Angelic Warlord took the X-Sinner release off of their T.B.D. portion of expected new releases, so I'm guessing their might not have been any real new news about it in the last few years (but of course what do I know?).

Speaking of the Angelic Warlord "Release List for 2023". I'm not seeing much of anything with actual release dates that I'm terribly interested in.
I have pre-ordered the Chosen Stranger "re-issue" and the new Wytch Hazel album. But looking over the list of stuff with actual release dates I'm not finding a ton of stuff that I really "need" to get. Possibly the new Sweet & Lynch release, but to be honest I wasn't terribly impressed with their last album. I have no idea what that new Petra release is about... is it a compilation album or something?

There seems to be a dearth of cool Christian metal coming out this year compared to last year.

Regarding the question about X-Sinner - I can attest to the fact that they responded several months ago to a 3 to 4 year old comment I made on their FB asking at that time if they were finishing out their final release. So...they appeared (at that time) to have intentions of finishing the album. Hope it's going to happen. I've also been collecting GX Project releases, and their 4th release has been sitting on the back burner for 5 to 6 years, but think there's been some recent chatter about trying to finish that one up soon, too.
