I haven't seen where this guy has been posted about on here anywhere and I think he's at least worth mentioning. He's fairly new to the scene but is one of the stronger independent Christian rock projects I've come across in the thinning market. He only has a few singles out, but it's a fairly recent project and I wouldn't be surprised if he releases a full length soon. Some will likely be turned off by the modern rock label, but he tiptoes the line between modern rock and hardcore. He's got a great voice, good songwriting, and he manages to avoid a lot of the overused christian rock cliches.

Sounds great, and quite a bit like Disciple.

He's married to Zahna, who's also active in the indy Christian Rock scene.

Ahhhh that makes a lot of sense now. I've seen them collabing and touring with each other a bunch, and now I know why
Also fun fact: Zahna was in another band before she ventured out on her own called Ilia. They never fully got off the ground though, outside a couple EPs. Personally, I think I prefer her solo stuff anyway.

A few more fun facts. Nesdam is actually his last name spelled backwards. "Madsen". Don't remember his first name but Zahna is Suzahna Madsen.
I'm very familiar with Ilia. They're from my city. I know one of their original guitar players, Melissa, very well. She is now in Fort Worth, married with two daughters. Her family are members of my church. Her mom is one of our children's church teachers, her dad is an elder, and her brother plays keyboards on our worship team.

That's really cool!! The closest I can come to a story like that is I once met a former member of Our Heart's Hero when I went to pay a speeding ticket at the courthouse one town over from my hometown. Their former guitar player worked there as a guard at the metal detector as you first enter the building. We got to talking and he was telling me about how he even wrote half of the ep they had just put out at the time. Haha!

I like this a lot better than I did the Zahna release. She did a lot of scream-o type vocals on the album and I just couldn't get into it.
This, on the other hand, is quite well done with only a couple of screams at the breakdown. I could live without that, but it doesn't ruin the song for me.
As far as meeting Christian celebs, I met Andy Denton from Legend/Legend Seven at an outlet mall in Nashville many years ago. I just ran into him and recognized him. We talked for about 5 minutes and that was that.
I also met Rick Heil of SonicFlood/Big Tent Revival at Opry Mills. Again, I just walked up and there he was. We talked and he got a selfie of us to put on the SonicFlood website at one time. It stayed there for a while just showing him hanging out with a fan.
At a Rugged Records showcase, I got to meet Rex Carroll who was attending the show at the time. I also got to meet Jamie Rowe there. I later ran into Jamie at the Family Bookstore in Antioch at the old Hickory Hollow Mall where his wife worked.
I got to meet Robert Sweet once when he was playing with another band that the name escapes me at the moment.
Oh, and there was this one time where I hired Scott Wenzel to come out and sing on a couple of songs for me. He sang, we went for lunch, and I mailed his coffee cup back to him that he left here.
See, I am so in the "in crowd". LOL

Wow, you’ve certainly been around the scene! Haha!
I think I miss going to festivals the most. In my younger days I frequented the Ichthus festival in KY back before the festival went bankrupt. It was always fun getting to go up and chat with various groups at their merch tables in between shows.

Ah, didn't know that. Ran sound for them here many years ago. Cool! Unfortunately, missed her recent show at Kingdom Come Festival.
