My favorite stream is no more.

Stream Update: the person that has provided our stream for free for many years now has passed away I don’t know if or when we’ll get the stream ever back on. But more importantly please pray for this guys loved ones and friends. His name was Steve! Thank you.
I've chatted with the admin and it's pretty unlikely it will return. Unfortunately, nobody else comes close to the mix of CHM I enjoy.

I hate that they are gone now.

I was surprised to learn that even at their peak they were avg only 225 listeners at a time and the royalties for that now would be about $20k/yr.
Yikes that seems super expensive!

One thing that hurts streaming station like this is that Christian metal is a much smaller market. Then, you start adding several streaming stations competing with one another for those listeners. I don't see how most of them stay in business at that kind of cost. It seems it would be better to partner up, build a super station, and split the costs.
