Just listening to the first single of Reign of Glory's called "Welcome to Reality" this morning and getting very excited to hear a melodic metal song with a great vocalist that isn't Dale Thompson (LOL)!!
Reign of Glory is something of a Christian metal super-group with Robin Kyle Basauri on vocals (Red Sea, Die Happy, PK Mitchell) and Roger Dale Martin on bass (Die Happy, Vengeance Rising), Jim Chaffin on drums (The Crucified, Deliverance) and Nick Layton on guitar (Q5 & FireWolf...both secular bands).

I get some Whitecross (Rex Carroll) vibes in the main guitar riff and tone...I'm thinking maybe "Attention Please" off Triumphant Return. I'm not implying anything good or bad about that...it's just a feel it gave me as I listened Reign of Glory - Welcome to Reality - Page 2 1f600

I’ve been able to listen to half of it and I just want to say…

THIS. IS. FANTASTIC.

The songs are great, the riffs are great, Robin sounds amazing, and it’s so cool to see old guard musicians still standing firm for Jesus!

I am quite happy with this album! These veteran musicians brought their A game to this album. While Robin's voice isn't quite what it used to be, he has figured out how to make it work with this. He has lost some range, but he has gained a richness in tone that just appeals to me.

Love the music. Always want to support folks that are putting out this kind of music for the kingdom. I will support it no matter how it sounds. Its fortunate this time around that it sounds good.
