Yes. It was a bit campier/weirder than expected.

Finished up Picard season 1. Got it on Blu ray for Christmas last year but never finished it. Once I got into it I couldn't turn it off. Nice visuals, nice surprises and a pretty good show. Looking forward to season 2 with the return of Q.

Just finished the first season of Mindhunter on Netflix. Odd show. Will be interesting to see where they went with season two.

Started 11-22-63 on Hulu. I read the book and liked it. It's about a time portal and a guy goes back in time to try and stop the assassination of JFK.

Oh yeah and the time portal only has one date in Oct 1960. So when he goes back in time he has to wait 3 years before Nov 22, 1963. When he comes back to real time only 2 minutes have passed but if he messes up and exits the portal every time he re-enters it's 1960 again.

My wife and I both read the book (by Stephen King) and watched this series on Hulu. We thought they did a pretty good job on the Hulu series. Not completely faithful to the book, but close enough (also the book was like a million pages so more content than would fit in the episodes they made).

I read the book when it was new but honestly I don't remember the ending. I really liked it and should probably read it again. I'm on the last episode now and it's pretty good. I don't recall in the book if he had "Bill" to help him or not.
As you said the book is a million pages so it's hard to cram all of that into a tv show.

I don't remember the ending either. But King isn't known for having amazing endings, just great journeys.

I can't remember a single line from the movie. It was more than 30 years ago when I last saw it.

Yes, on both counts.
Chaos Walking (again - so we could have subtitles now to better understand The Noise)

My wife and I watched that about a week ago, and really enjoyed it (kind of an interesting Santa Claus origin story).

I don't think I gave it a fair shake as I was extremely tired that night ad was fighting sleep the whole movie.
