| X-SINNER added to its MySpace page a new song, “Forgive Them”, from its next album World Covered In Blood: www.myspace.com/xsinnernews
I have been really looking forward to this album for a long time but, I have to say I hope it is not the finished version because it is just not that good. The mix is dreadful and the vocals are all over the place. PLEASE tell me this isn't the finished album version...

| I think this is more of a demo version. The music sounds fine. But, I'll admit that the vocals need some work. It's sounds like they are really trying to go for that AC/DC clone sound on the verses, and the choruses sound like they are trying to mimick Cinderella. But, I'm pretty sure that the final version will be smokin'! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Nothing wrong with mimicking Cinderella. I to don't like the vocals at all on the song. I hope it is a demo b/c I'll pass if that's what the whole album sounds like vocally | |

| With a lot of reverb added to the vocals, and add some backing harmonies, and the new song will sound a lot like "Steppin' On Toes" that plays next on their MySpace player. I'd still guess that this is a demo recording, but you never know. It does seem like X-sinner is taking the whole "AC/DC Clone" allegations seriously and really playing that up on the new track.

| Loved the song, but the vocals are a bit ropey. If they can sort out that problem, then it'll be stellar.
The vocals are good, just not ironed out enough for an album release.
Strangely enough, it reminded me (the chorus, anyway) of Guy Ritter's HOLY DANGER stuff. (i.e. great but a bit abrasive)

| Didn't we already have a thread about this song last week. I think I remember saying I liked it. But yes it does sound like demo quality. The mix seems a tad uneven. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Hopefully they are not another band in the long line of bands that should have stayed retired... I too hope the vocals are a lot better.. Alex | |

| I can relate to going through dozens of mixes per song. You keep redoing the mix and redoing the mix until you get something you think you can live with. Most bands go through this if they are recording their project themselves. Otherwise, your producer would be doing this for you with the help of your sound engineer at the studio.

| This is one of the first test mixes of Forgive Them. Another early test mix of the song Back In Red is on the .com site too for a preview. We appreciate everybodies comments and opinions - they do help us make decisions on the mixes to a degree....with that said we also obviously realize that we cannot please everyone. Some fans liked the overproduced sounds of the first two albums and some do not - yet they are all fans of the band. This record was recorded with the intent of stripping down the huge layered background vocals and showing a more "real" perspective of how the band sounds live. We have always tapped into our our Def Leppard influences for each album just a little bit - "Livin On The Edge" from Get It and "You Got Me" and "Don't Go" from Peace Treaty....we started a tradition of ending our albums with a Leppard inspired song and World Covered In Blood is no different with the album closer That Ain't Me. Keep in mind that these early test mixes are not mastered yet either. Some will love the new album and some will not - we really like it as a whole. Rex sings more in the style of Get It on this one more than like he did on Peace Treaty which helps change up the pace and sound of our collection of music. We didn't want to release another simular sounding album to Peace Treaty/Fire It Up because we just did that. Who knows....maybe the next album we will go back to style, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see. For the most part all the comments we've received so far have been in the positive on the early test mixes - but we know not everyone can be pleased - that's life. | |

| I'm sure I'm gonna love it. I have predicted that the new Saint, Stryper, and X-Sinner albums will be my top 3 (not in that order) favorites for the year. Great News. Just as long as the band is happy with the work, I doubt I will have any complaints. Welcome to CHM X=Sinner, always great to hear from the bands we love. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Yes, I hear that in Forgive Them, and because I love that style better than Peace Treaty I'm really looking forward to the album. It'll be in my top 5 of the year, I am sure (along with Stryper, Saint, Seventh Avenue and possibly Seventh Power - what's with all those S's!!!!) | I liked the song they had, but not the yowling vocals on that version. It sounded strained, very strained in spots, to me. If he didn't stretch so much for some notes it would have been killer. I hope they go for diversity like they did on "The Angry Einsteins" project, but make it more solid rock and roll type diversity.
