I had to drive a little over three hours each way, but I got to hang out and record with Kelly Matthews and Jeff Grady of Lordchain today. They are working on another worship EP. As you know, their idea of worship sounds nothing like what is on the radio or is in most churches on Sunday. They aren't afraid to rock!
They are doing five songs on this next one, and I got to do all five of them. Their last one, I was only on three songs. So, this one is even more special to me as I was able to do the whole project with them.
I don't know the time frame for the release of this album, but I will keep you posted when i know more.

Oh, the glorious life I will live. My game and fortune will probably get me the downloads a few days before everyone else. LOL
It was a fun day all in all hanging out with Jeff and Kelly in their secret studio deep in the heart of Missouri. Hearing their songs before they are complete is cool as you can see where they are taking them. Then, I get to use my bass work to change the flavor without changing their whole idea and hear it sound bigger. It is both exciting and humbling to work on someone else's music while trying to be yourself musically and catch their vision, too. I pray I nailed it!

Very cool! You are a fantastic bass player and I'm sure your work on the new Lordchain Praise album with be amazing. I'm really looking forward to hearing it. I'm typically not a big fan of praise & worship albums, but I absolutely love all three of the ones Kelly & Jeff have recorded.

They have continued to make worship projects that they would listen to and enjoy as rockers. This isn't Hillsongs or CCM top 40 worship. It's rock, baby!
There is a rockin' fast blues tune, a couple that remind me of Tom Petty but with the Lordchain edge, and an 80s metal song. Even without playing on them, I love these songs and can't wait to hear the finished product. I think everyone else will love them, too.

Alldat IS a rock star & a fantastic bass guitarist. When he comes into the studio I have zero worries. It sounds killer. We picked out a great Ampeg profile for him to use on the Kemper. I'm loving the sound. I sent rough mixes over to our piano/keyboard player this past weekend, so I am hoping for a September release. It's called Total Surrender.
I am so blessed to have Chris as a friend and bandmate. Yes, he is an official member of Lordchain Praise. You won't find his name under "Special Guest". I have the privilege of playing & recording with some of the greatest musicians & vocalists on the planet. I am humbled and honored to have him in the studio.
Thank you everyone for all the kind words. This ol' chunk of coal is blessed when I hear others are blessed by something I'm a part of. I truly love y'all.

Thank you for considering me a member. If there is anything I can do on the official Lordchain albums, feel free to send up the "Bat signal".

Fantastic!
Also very excited to hear me might get a new Lordchain Praise EP this year. Hands down my favorite recorded praise music.
