| OK, I am getting sick of buying CDs that sound good, but just leave me hanging lyrically when I get them home (Number One Gun's new one, for example). I am tired of bands that have great lyrics, but bore me musically (like Mehida or Wingdom, for example). I am to the point where I am going to be MORE picky with what I buy. I want to add CDs to the coolection that are definite keepers that I won't tire of for years and years. I accidentally stumbled across one of these instant keepers today. I love classic sounding hard rock, and I love worship music. There have been a few bands that have crossed the genres to do this (Third Day, Instereo, etc.). Now, there is a new band that you must check out: The Perry Case Band. The Perry Case Band will appeal to fans of Third Day for sure. While the vocalist is more gravelly, he will still remind you of Mac Powell. Musically, this could BE Third Day--especially their earlier projects. I think I'm gonna try to sell a couple of discs and order this and the new Saint. I don't think that I can go wrong with either. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| My problem is that when I listen to samples they sound great. The I order the CD and feel disapointed when I listen to the complete CD. I like Third Day so I think to like the Perry Case Band too.
To be honest it's often the music that makes me like a CD and then the lyrics.

| I agree that the music lures me in many times. But, I have got to start paying more attention to lyrical content before I buy. With the Perry Case Band, lyrical content is awesome!

| Wish there were more rockers, but this is pretty good. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I wish I could write more in this style. This seems to happen to me but just within certain genres (mostly modern rock and power/prog metal). As for the Perry Case Band, I'm just a few tracks into it but I'm digging what I hear. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I checked em' out, dat', and, I thought that some of the songs were GREAT, but, seems to be quite a few slower songs, so, I don't know about this one. But, I do agree that this band has a great sound. Also, I listened to Jeff Scheetz samples today.... | |

Agreed. Why can't he just do the instrumental thing?

Why can't he just do the instrumental thing? Now there is a great idea, maybe you should send him an e-mail. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I got the Perry Case Band CD Tuesday and have already played it a couple of times. There is not a bad song on here! The Third Day/Hootie & the Blowfish comparisons are definitely there, but this band relies more on the electric guitars than either of the aforementioned groups. This is some high quality southern influenced rock.
