Today is the worldwide premier of our song entitled 'Evensong'. Written by me, and the amazingly talented Graeme Leslie (of Stairway).
So far, the things that have been said about it are...
"Dad, are you listening to that song again?"
and
"Stop creating that video, and get on with the washing up."
and
"I think the song's great, but isn't it my turn on the computer now?"

Oh man gotta love that British sense of humor (pardon me I mean "humour")!
Very much digging the tune!

Is this a side project of Graham's, or will this be on a new Stairway album? Enquiring minds want to know!!!

It's just a one off. Sort of like a 'something to keep us busy during Covid' type thing. I wrote the words and did the video. Graeme did the music and the vocals.
It was good fun to do, and Graeme is a great guy, and put a lot of effort in to the song.

If they'd do a guitar solo in the middle, I think it would be a great moody ballad for Stairway that would break up an album. Talk to Graeme and see if he will consider it, Fundy. Getting your own songs out there is cool, but there is a certain extra level of getting to work with other musicians and hear yourself in their work. I've done songs with Incarnate, Liberty N' Justice, Tim Davis Band, and now Lordchain on their albums and it is just incredibly cool to hear someone's brain child and you got to be a part of that.

You need to write a song called "Oddsong" and have Graeme record it.....then you can press a 7" single on vinyl and have Evensong on one side and Oddsong on the other!!!
All joking aside it is a super cool tune. You and Graeme need to load it up on Bandcamp. I'll be looking for my Graeme-Billet Cd in the mail sometime next year.

You know, that almost makes me want to write "Oddsong" now.
As for any new tunes, I don't think that will happen, as he's in the final stages of the next Stairway album, and most folk (and I guess Graeme too) in the UK are back to work now. I just sent it to him as a Covid project
Ooo, I've just written the song, Staybrite. Here it is...
ODDSONG It's this Oddsong, that's not that long. It's like I thought, it's very short.
There. Done

Yes, it's always good to work with others, especially on christian projects, as there's a bigger reason for doing songs. The new Stairway album is pretty much done, but it would be great to hear it either as an official song on a Stairway album, or just a 'bonus track' at the end.
I love the fact that you've done lots of stuff on different albums, Alldat. It gives a real sense of us all being one big community of believers, and you're an awesome musician too.

Doh! Where's a studio when you need one. I can totally hear that song in my head. I'm hearing a grunty guitar. The whole thing comes in at 23 seconds. I'd add a few lines though...

How about some creative license for a rhyme and an outgoing "oddsong":
Oddsong! Oddsong! It's this Oddsong that's not that long It's like I thort It's very short Oddsoooooooooooooooooong!

I'm not sure you know what you're asking there Gary. The choice is ESIV OR the Songs album. Not both. Just one. If you really, really, REALLY want me to produce this album, I'll just tell John that I got another project to do. It's your call. I do try to listen to fans' suggestions and fulfill their requests, but I'm telling ya, ESIV is another level. It totally blows away Children of God. Are you SURE you want me to shelve it?
