For those who don't know (not sure if I've ever mentioned it here), I'm an editor for the website secondhandsongs.com, which is a giant cover songs database. As an editor I get to process submissions by users and add new works/covers directly (instead of having to go through the submission process). The past few days I've been on a Jesus Music kick, which has lead to me adding a bunch of stuff by Swedish group The Samuelsons. This in turn lead to me finding the song "He Looked Beyond My Needs" and the fact that Jerry Lee Lewis did a gospel album in 1970. I wonder what Jimmy Swaggart thought of this...

Then there's this rousing rendition of "I'll Fly Away". Probably my second favorite behind Flatfoot 56's rendition...

I like that rendition of "I'll Fly Away". He was definitely channeling some good ol' toe tappin' southern gospel.
