I usually find something to like it most Theocracy songs....but this one isn't doing it for me. All the rapid-fire double bass drum wears out my ears, and he sounds like he can barely keep up with his own lyrics. It is cool that they released another Christmas song though.

I knew five seconds in I wasn't going to like it. Musically it is alright. Lyrically it bores me. The last few Christmas songs they have put out, just seem silly or negative.

I think it's fine lyrically, it shows how we can miss what the season is all about and then the end shifts to remind us of the truth. I like it, it's their sound.

I have said for years that I have musical A.D.D. A year and a half ago I was actually diagnosed with A.D.D. and take medicine to help me focus. So, it isn't just a musical thing. I have difficulty with really long books and movies, too. My concentration just isn't there. When making music for myself, I bounce from instrument to instrument to keep from getting bored. That is why mixing is so difficult for me as it requires a ton of focus.
I will check out the song when the Mrs. Alldat gets out of bed.

I made it to the 3:30 mark. The almost endless double bass made me shut it off. The story is just dragging. Get to the point, people! The main riffs of the song are covered up with too much lead guitar too quickly as well. It feels like they turned everything up to 11 and hit record without thinking about using the music to build the emotion they were shooting for.
