Levi and I really have had a very cool time together.
He told me yesterday: "my best friend is oma".
And he's my best friend too.
I will miss the Tuesdays with him.

It is great that you have been able to develop this special relationship with Levi, he will never forget it.
One of my grandsons Isaac used to come over to our house every other Saturday and Sunday for 2 years (between 2 & 4 years old).  My wife worked those days so I took care of him.  The last year he stayed over here I started putting a small bag of gummy snacks in a small bag and placing them in a small box under our living room table.  He got very excited about coming to Oma & Opa's house, and every time he comes over now he runs to box to see if his gummy snacks are there.  I'll always remember that.

I'm sorry you'll be losing your special day with Levi. You have both been very blessed to be able to spend time together so regularly and he has been blessed to have you there to share your Christian values and your love with him. Now you get to watch him bloom from the seeds you and your family have planted in him. Peace be with you sister.

The worst part of it thus far is either wearing a mask or face shield all the time.  I prefer the shield as it is easier to breath in and doesn't fog up my glasses.

....And my daughter is pregnant again!  
This will be her fourth child (but she also has one step-son from her husbands previous marriage, that doesn't live with them).
So that makes 4 boys, and the one of the way is supposed to be a girl.

Thanks guys.  I have to say at 52 years old I'm really glad it's not me having all these kids right now. 

That's very good news Gary, a new grandchild.
It's exciting what it will be a boy or a girl.

Wow, and I though I had problems with some of the Message bible.  I would probably burst a blood vessel after 20 minutes of trying to read that.

Dusted off NEEDTOBREATHE's 2007 album The Heat the other day (the one with "Signature of Divine" and "Washed By the Water").
Decided tonight I should see what they're up to these days.

Fast forward a few hours and I get an email from Awakening Events saying that the band's latest album has just been released.

$15 later the album is on its way to my door (and it comes with a free digital copy as well)

I have had a really good first two weeks of school.  The schedule is weird with us doing A/B days and cramming 8 subjects into a school day. I've had more issues with parents in the pickup and drop off lines than anything.  With the COVID scare, more parents are driving their kids to school and many want special privileges.  If you try to remind them politely, they just start talking loudly over you to shut you up.  Our society has long forgotten how to respect someone, and these parents are raising the next generations.  Folks, don't blame the schools for how your kids turn out.  YOU did this.

My sister who lives on a tropical island visited us for one day.
Her daughter graduated from school and her school has given her 5 days off from work to be there.
It was so nice to have her around. But to be honest 5 days are too short.

I'm guessing alternating school days for kids. One day is group A and one day is group B. I could be wrong though.

It doesn't sound like "Gen Z," it sounds like some Gen Xer did it trying to sound like Gen Z.

I was thinking that too, but I've never heard of it.
I do know that some schools have AM and PM kindergarten (your kid goes to kindergarten either in the morning or in the afternoon...for like 3 hours).  But they still do kindergarten 5 days a week.

To reduce the number of kids in the building, students either attend on an A or B scheduled day.  Basically, they come two days a week and have assignments on their off days via computer.  Half of the students attend on A days and half on B days.  No students attend on Monday, though.

About 18% of students in our county signed up for virtual classes.  All these online courses and homework has put so much stress on our teachers as the blessed software doesn't work half the time.
