Related to mods: have you asked Arttie if he'll let you recruit some new blood?  One guy can't be expected to run the place and deal with real life at the same time.

Ha!  Yeah I may ask for some more support one of these days...  Lately there just hasn't been much of anything requiring moderating anyways, so it's not an issue... yet.  Another member some time ago offered his services if asked too, and I think he'd be a good fit.

For those not in the know, this guy was/is a Oneness Pentecostal with a VERY nasty attitude toward those who didn't agree with him. Which, of course, we didn't/don't agree with him.

Life is so busy since two weeks.
My husband is not able to do much.

So I walk 7 days a week with Matsi our Finnish spits.
Twice a week we have 3 grandsons for one day and next week on grandson is coming twice a week.
But that's only till he get's to school at the end of August.

We would love to go on vacation to Austria, but that's cancelled.
My husband is not allowed to drive now he's on cructhces.

Maybe we can go later for a week vacation.

I actually couldn't stand it long enough to listen to even half of the lyrics and find out where the theological train-wreck was.
Musically disappointing to the point of near pain.

I remember when this character posted at Firestream, and the fun times for all that ensued.

I tried Firestream back then.  I just could never seem to make connections there.

I did my time at CMR.  I quit after the move here to Niceboard.  After the move, Arttie and the other mods quit posting and showing up altogether.  It just didn't feel right.  So I stepped down.

Firestream was definitely an interesting forum. The theology section could get interesting from time to time as well as the main music section whenever Tourniquet got brought up (Firestream came about because of a major schism on the Tourniquet forum). But I heard about so many bands that I never would have even known and made some great friends along the way.

   That's not a bad idea except I am an anti-masker. So I feel that to sell them would make me a hypocrite.

I've been trying to slow down on Internet presence. I went a few pages back to see if I'd missed anything, and I saw some discussions about Facebook degenerating. I quietly dropped Facebook a few weeks ago and I wouldn't look back. Do I miss some groups and local news and friends? Somewhat, but not compared to 1) the time I wasted scrolling into the void 2) the unbalanced stupidity and anger fomented by many people 3) my own reactions to point 2. I highly recommend unplugging from Facebook, keeping Messenger if you find it appropriate (I do), and finding platforms for more meaningful interactions. Currently, I'm on Messenger and another messing app (Signal) for DMs, Snapchat for photo interactions with friends, and Instagram for getting updates from friends. (Instagram is definitely a vanity fair, but I have a very short attention span for it, so I don't waste too much time on it.) I check local news regularly and different national news sources from all over the spectrum a bit less regularly. I trust my friends to send me relevant news (and memes) anyhow. I still waste time on YouTube, but at least some of the content is educational and relevant, compared to the un-thought-out stuff that gets shared on Facebook.

Quitting Facebook has definitely lowered my frustration levels. I've also stepped back from CHM somewhat, mainly over the way some are venting about COVID-19. I haven't looked into those threads for a few weeks and it's probably better if I don't. (Not to target anyone in particular here, though.) Also, as I've expressed before, new Christian music as a whole has slowed down and I find less and less of it musically/sonically interesting. (Again, not to target the artists here.) So, I'll lurk once in a while, but I'm gradually backing away from here. Yes, I've said that before, but I'm following through on it. Take care.
