LOL.

Oh man there is so much stupidity going around on FB - considerably more than normal I might add.  It makes me want to just unfollow half of my "friends" and solely use it for hearing about new bands/albums/whatever.  Also, with this "cancel-culture" extremism, it makes me think twice about ever posting/liking anything.  On the plus side, each new day is one day closer to Christ's return haha.

Yes, facebook has gotten quite dumb.  What's kind of funny is that for an election year, I don't seem to be hearing much about the presidential race.  Seems like everyone is too busy calling each other racists.  I have to confess that old age seems to be catching up with me and even though I've heard the term "cancel culture" a few times I don't know what it means.
I just ran into the term MGTOW the other day and had to look that one up too.

I just looked up MGTOW too haha.  Cancel-culture is the term used to describe what the liberal (online) mob does: they "cancel" or shut down (by any means possible...) anyone who they disagree with.  Example: the cancel-culture was alive and well when that professional soccer player got fired AFTER apologizing for some tweet his wife made criticizing BLM.

Thanks for the definition. Thumbs Up

Unlike most summers, I have decided to take a job during the break from school.  I am just feeling rather worthless without having something to do.  So, I applied for the Census Bureau.

I went and did my background check today.  I still have to add things like direct deposit info for my online profile.   But, it looks like I will start training on July 7.  This will be an 8 week job.  I will have to do a few weeks when school starts which will be hard, but the money is good.

Well done Chris.  Hope it's an interesting job for you.

I've just had an interesting few days.  My computer froze and wouldn't do anything, so I had to manually turn it off.  Then it wouldn't restart.  So... after trying everything under the sun, we ordered a new PC, and it arrived yesterday.

For the past eight months we could only print if we emailed my phone and then I printed from my phone.  Now I can print normally again!  Hey hey!  Smile

Not much...  Thanks for asking.  I've been getting a few hours a week in on one project that's [unfortunately, for me] wrapping up very soon and with no new projects on the horizon.  I signed up for unemployment almost a couple months ago but due to some mystery issue, I haven't seen a dime from them yet.  They're supposed to call if they need more info to fix the issue but no call yet.  (I was finally able to get ahold of someone at the unemployment office but they were unable to help; I have to just wait they said...)  Sigh!

Thanks!  Perhaps it will get me out of the funk of feeling rather pointless.  Not having a job for this many months is grating on my nerves.

I think this will work for me.  I need to learn to be more of a people person, and having to go door to door will definitely help.  It will be hot and there will be tons of walking in the heat.  This could have a positive effect on my weight.

The hardest part will be that this is an 8 week commitment.  It was originally supposed to run from June 1 to the end of July.  That would have been optimal for me waiting to go back to school.  This will now overlap with school having me working multiple jobs through August.  That will be difficult, but it will only be for a few weeks.  I think I can handle that.

My husband had a bicycle accident yesterday. He could hardly walk anymore.

Today he went to the ER. There is a tear in his pelvis. Yes, it's very painful. He got crutches which helps him to walk better. The lash  and the blod clot, I think now it's enough.

Really sorry to hear that.  Glad he's got crutches to help him, and I pray that he will heal very very quickly.

Oh no, not again!  It sounds like the men in your family need to stay away from bicycles.
Praying he will heal completely and quickly, and that he will have some comfort from the pain.

Maybe I just don't get it, but I am not going to apologize for being born a certain ethnicity.  I can't help what I am.

That's just the beginning. With the Supreme Court ruling yesterday, making the lgbt movement a protected class, it's just a matter of time they come for us on that issue.

I am not apologizing for being white, and I will not stop preaching that sexual sin off all sorts is wrong.  When they tell me I can't say that, then I will either have to go to jail or retire from public ministry.

I begin my training with the U.S. Census Bureau on July 8.  For a part time job, I think this is going to be fun.  I don't look forward to having to be a Kung Flu ninja (aka mask wearer) to do the job, but I knew what was expected going in.  I will vent here but not to the bosses.

We've been required to wear masks at work for a month now, it sucks but you kind of get used to it. Just pull it below your nose when you're not around people.
