Playing Rush all day today in honor of Neil. RIP Neil Peart.

The radio played an hour of Rush yesterday then I listened to about another hour.

I listened to Moving Pictures in the car on my drive back from Ontario. Sonic perfection.

That 4-8" of snow we were supposed to get over Sunday night never showed up.  We got maybe an inch.  It's snowing now.  We'll see what that does.

Oh man, lucky you - that's not bad at all!  We've been getting quite a lot though yesterday had a bit of a reprieve.  It snowed some last night (two or three inches) but it was super dry and powdery which made for relatively easy shoveling.  But it's still coming down and looks a little wetter so we'll see...

We even got a few inches of snow in our part of Western Washington last night.  The sun is out this afternoon though and it's melting it off of the streets and sidewalks.

Rush ended a couple years ago, in part due to Neil's brain tumor.

I had the privilege of seeing Rush on their last tour in 2015. Tickets were expensive, but it was a Father's Day treat for the guys in our family. They were tight as always, but there were signs that it was probably their last tour. No one stays young forever, unfortunately. They ended honourably, as far as I'm concerned.

I thought maybe you could see gases others couldn't see since you have a fancy title and all.

It's hovering around 0°F out there. Thankfully, I don't have school today so I'm staying inside. I have long johns on and I'm still cold.

BRRRR! That is a bit chilly.

The funny thing is, it's surrounded by relatively warm temperatures - only a few degrees below freezing until today, and warming up tomorrow.

We've had spring-like weather pretty much since Christmas.  Winter got jealous and is returning with a vengeance with temps in the teens every morning this week.  So away, winter!

Same here, will be in upper 20's Monday night.

How about 14 degrees this morning with highs in the 30s.  I want my fake spring back!  I blame all the folks here complaining that it just didn't feel like January.

We've hit in the single digits a few times at night which stinks 'cause my electric bill skyrockets trying to keep us warm. Don't even turn the heat up past 65.

Days like today make it worth working for the school system.  I love paid holidays!

We put in a new heat pump in 2017 and my bills have gone way down (cooling and heating). We used to have an old central air unit with heating coils and those electric coils drove up the heat bills. Plus the AC unit ran in the summer from 6AM - 10PM and never turned off and would never get below 72. This newer unit freezes us out and the heat is much better. A good investment but I hated spending the money at the time.
