I went to an Arrogant Worms concert today. Who are the Arrogant Worms, you might ask? They're a comedy music trio from Canada. They've been doing this since the early 90s and clearly still love doing it. It was fun to sing along with them in some better known numbers and learn some new ones.
Oh man that sounds like a really fun show.

I could have saved you some money on those tickets. My brother and I have made fun of Canada for many years, and we are hilarious! What's more is that we do it for free!
We love our Canadian neighbors! Well, at least the one or two we have gotten to know!
On a serious note, I think it would be fun to do a full album of silly stuff like this. I did three clean comedy songs on the last Big Chris album. If I could come up with 10, I would do a full on comedy record.

This guy recreated a great early 60's vibe, complete with vintage furniture.

I got to sing in a community choir again this fall, and I even got a short solo spot at the concerts (two shows). But, singing secular Christmas songs has made me realize how empty Christmas is without the reason for the season. I'm not one of those "keep Christ in Christmas!!" militants, but what's the point of celebrating if there's no ultimate object of celebrating? Are we just partying because?
I feel like the Teacher of Ecclesiastes, only less wise and wizened.

Mike, that video was like being a kid again, we used to have stuff like that and my Mom played that music.

Me too. Reminds me of my aunt and uncle's house in Michigan. Their home was laid out a lot like that. While I was born in the 70's it was very similar to this guys home and brought back some fun memories.

This week has been one wild ride with adopting two new cats! They are siblings and are somewhere between the 6 to 9 month range. They are almost full grown but have the energy of young kittens. I now understand why they call these two "rescues". Somebody rescue us from these two wild heathens! LOL
In all seriousness, having cats in the house makes the house feel like home again. It just felt dead without Callie. Belle and Albus are sweet, full of energy, and have stolen our hearts.

My house isn't much bigger. We have 770 feet with TWO cats and two grumpy adult humans.

Funny. We'd also have to register it as a therapy cat which I'm not going to do. Therapy python? Maybe.

If I tried to do a therapy python, I would also need a divorce lawyer. My wife told me years ago that no matter how big or small our home was that there was not room for both her and a pet snake.

I got my morning workout shoveling snow for the first time this season. Our new place has a longer driveway and path to our door than our old place which is unfortunate haha, plus HOA requires we shovel the stretch of sidewalk in front of our home too. (I guess them punk kids need a clear path to walk to the school bus or something.)

I had to shovel snow out of my driveway last winter. First time in like 12 years. I didn't miss not having to do it all those previous years....and hope to not have to do it this winter.

I have had to shovel snow once or twice in the 31 years we have lived in our house.

Living in the foothills of the mountains the last twelve years I've shoveled enough snow for a couple lifetimes.

Life was very busy this week. My daughter is sick, so I travelled to her to take care for her, and her two little sons.
I hope next week will be more quiet.

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had much time for social media so I've been a stranger here this week. I just felt like coming here this evening to say this: I have met so many wonderful people in this life. I think with all the ugly in the world we can forget that most people are beautiful in their hearts. Just feeling very thankful for all the fabulous people I know. Global thank you to all the beautiful people I know and love. Sheesh, I'm so very un-metal sometimes. Now if I could just bring myself to write a song about flowers and kittens the image would be complete.

I agree with Jen, you are a great mother and Oma. Hope this week is going a little more quieter for you.

People can be very good to each other when they set their minds and hearts to it. Thanks for the reminder, I have a bad tendency to think the worst of people....its good to be reminded that they can be good to each other as well.

It looks like we will run the gamut of seasons in Tennessee today. We had 60 degree temps (like spring). We will then have flash flooding and have tornado warnings out. The temps will drop tonight into a late fall range into winter temps tomorrow with probable snow flurries. If you don't like the weather in TN, stick around. It will change.

Same here! Almost 80 yesterday and 75 last night. Today 80% chance of severe weather and low tonight 38!
