| Oooo. I've never heard Locked and Loaded. Is it good? Dream Evil! Yessss! How are you finding COG? Screaming for Vengeance. I like that one. Here's a piece of inside ES trivia for ya: I love Judas Priest, but their imagery sometimes goes too dark for me. I was listening to In this Moment's Black Wedding (feat Rob Halford). I love the tune, but being Maria Brink, it makes a theater of darkness rather than a warning of it. Structurally, The Devil's Tongue, was inspired by Black Wedding. Our first version of it had a lot of similarities but over time it morphed into something quite different. You can still hear the similarities in the bridge though. Xid: | |

I'm totally digging Children of God. This will only my second run through it so I haven't figured out any favorites yet.....but I have to say I'm really glad you included Christchurch...hauntingly beautiful song and adds some great diversity to the album. Locked and Loaded is an album of all covers done by a very skilled group of musicians. I'm a huge fan of cover songs, but mostly when the artist can find something unique of themselves to add to the song...not all of the songs on this album can boast that. Also wish I would have known that this is something of a greatest hits album for the band as all these songs can be found on their previous albums (so no new recordings). Still a good collection of rock musicians doing what they do best. My copy of Dream Evil is a recent re-acquisition. I used to own it on cassette back in the late 80's and early 90's but lost it (probably in the mid 90s). So I'm just getting reacquainted with it. Not nearly the brilliance of Holy Diver or Last In Line, but still some very cool songs. Screaming for Vengeance was my first Judas Priest album and it made me an instant fan. Yeah, some of their lyrics can be a bit dark, but at least they aren't telling you to worship Satan like King Diamond or Venom. Even their "Devil's Child" on this album sounds more like a love affair gone wrong (in exaggerated lyrical themes) rather than a celebration of evil. Still we gotta be careful with those secular lyrics and how they impact our thoughts. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I'm expecting news of some jamming happening at casa Staybrite. : ) You kinda can't get more brilliant than Holy Diver as far as Dio goes imo. Definitely my favourite Dio there.

| The other day I looked out the window to the park and saw two middle-aged women with a drone. I thought to myself, "this ought to be interesting" and within two minutes they got it stuck up in a tree haha. They eventually got it down after one went home and got a ladder and fruit-picker. I can't judge though, because I tried flying one of those things some time ago and even after all those years of playing videogames, I was terrible at it! They're tricky to get used to. | |

| I'm gradually turning into an adult. The responsiblities and appointments and bills are starting to build up and I know there's so much more to come. I still live at my parents', though, so I'm not full-fledged.
The future can be intimidating, but I guess I have a tendency to take things a bit at a time and write down the things that seem too big. It gets things out of my head and onto paper so I don't have to think about them as much. That, and the Christian answer of trusting God (easier said than done... I do wrestle with that sometimes).

Yeah it's not all it's cracked up to be. I feel like an old car. I have squeaky, rusty parts. Thankfully I don't leak! I wake up several times a night because my shoulder hurts so I flip sides. The future can still be intimidating at times when life throws you a curve ball (Hurricane Michael was the biggest lately, for a while I wondered if I would still have a job when I saw the damage to my workplace). The last couple of years has had some zingers (the storm and youngest daughter being diagnosed with diabetes).

| Turning into an adult is inevitable. Jobs, bills, spouses, children, heartache, stress. But there can be a ton of joy along the way (especially if you find a good Christian spouse to share it with). Don't be afraid that you will make mistakes, because it's pretty much guaranteed that you will. You can do this Andre! _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Having not built a new guitar in two years, I had forgotten how much fun and tedious it can be. I am currently working on FIVE at one time. All are in various stages of completion. Two of them will be my own instruments that will have my Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band album covers featured on the lids. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| We are finally moving from summer weather to fall-ish weather this week. Even the first few days of October have been in the 90s. We had 98 days of temps over 90 degrees. People here were joking that we were in the 98th day of July!
After it rains tonight (something we haven't had in a LONG time), the temps will drop into the 70s for the highs the rest of the week. So, where am I headed? To Florida where it is warmer!!! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| It finally cooled off today here in Florida. It was 90 instead of 95! Lows in the 70's tonight, high in the 80's rest of the week. Lows in upper 60's rest of week. 90 wasn't do bad today because it was less humid and breezy. I sat outside with my smoker for about 3 hours in the shade and never broke a sweat. | |
