Not so much the plaid pants but probably the mall music that made him hurt all over

No, it was definitely those pants!

Whew! This has been a super busy weekend! We went to a play on Friday night. I had a short pastor's conference Saturday morning, a birthday party for a 5 year old that afternoon, and went with some friends to the Nashville Speedway for the monthly races there. Today, it is back to church. I will be glad when Monday comes and I go back to work so I can get some rest!!!

That was a very busy weekend.
I cooked for friends yesterday evening. Have you ever made chicken on a beer tin from the BBQ? We love it.

Sounds like a fun time. I haven't done it in the BBQ, but I have done it in my pressure cooker, and I always cook my chili with beer.

It's an amazing thing to finally own your own house. But now that it's yours, you're responsible for EVERY little thing that breaks down, maintenance and upkeep. It's worth it though

Thanks guys! Haha yeah I will certainly miss being able to call the property manager and be like, "yo come fix this on your dollar." But this way I can justify buying more power tools...

YES!! LOL! Every tool I own in my garage (and there's a lot) were bought at different times for different necessary projects around the house

Haha yup! We're trying to borrow or buy used as much as possible, but I imagine we'll be amassing a fair number of new tools too... Next up is a wet/dry vacuum and battery-powered lawnmower...
p.s. I saved your Iron Maiden congratulations picture into our "new house" picture folder.

I cleaned the brakes on my car today. Well, three of them - my brother did one yesterday to show me the ropes. I also did an oil change. Cars need maintenance...

brakes
As for brakes and brothers, I just bought new brakes for my Honda Civic and will be having my brother do them for me. Gone are my days of DIY with my back surgeries and such. Very thankful to have family who can help me. We took the Honda out of town since it has new tires all the way around, only to have it go from slightly noticing a need for new brakes to SCREECHING metal on metal!! Don't get how it can do that

Man, that part really sucks... Especially when you live in an area that was hit by a natural disaster! My home is now completely fixed but I noticed 2 windows have fogged up since the storm. Insurance will cover it but I have to wait on the replacement glass to arrive. Not a big issue but they look hazy when you look out.
Here's a video I made last week:

Not really sure I think some of the contractors conned insurance money out of homeowners. I know a few who paid in the 10's of thousands and their contractors left without doing anything. Or would strip the house bare and never come back to finish.

He is still on Facebook. I would imagine that he is still in his summer busy season doing landscaping and doesn't have time for posting. Plus, we haven't actually had much musical discussion as there hasn't been much being released that is new.

We went to the Wilson County Fair on Saturday. I was outside in 95-97 degree heat for most of the day from 8 AM to around 8 PM. I drank a lot, but it wasn't enough. I overheated. My legs were like rubber, and I literally hurt in my hips and back. I was disoriented. I sweated until I couldn't sweat any more. When I tried to urinate, barely anything came out and it burned to pee.
I got up Sunday morning and still felt tired. Despite drinking water and plenty of it, I only felt a little better after church. I got hot again yesterday afternoon and got hit with nausea and all the other symptoms from the previous night. It scared me! I did take a nap and kept drinking water. I feel better today and will do my best to stay inside and stay hydrated. I definitely had a case of heat exhaustion if not nearing heat stroke. We old people have to watch out for that!

Add something like Body Armor drink along with the water, good for electrolytes. Getting old is rough, I hurt my back just making my coffee.

Had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I "power" mowed the yard trying to beat the rain. it was over 100 degrees. I finished in time but felt terrible after because I was doing it too fast.
