| Anyone else have occasional (or not so occasional) difficulties sleeping? Perhaps it is due to the hot weather and humidity, but it has been a struggle the past month or so to get a good nights sleep. It almost is if whenever I fall asleep my body is fighting a war against itself- one side struggling to sleep and other attempting to force me awake.
For instance, yesterday evening I turned in at my normal time of 9:00 PM, but after tossing and turning did not manage to fall asleep until midnight but woke up again at 4:00AM with my heart pounding like crazy. Couldn't fall back asleep again. What is ironic, is that I do not feel all that tired, although I do plan to attempt a nap this afternoon.

| I am like a light switch. I am instantly off when it is time to sleep. However after a couple of hours my shoulder hurts and I turn to the other side but I fall right back asleep. I had a sleepless night last night but it wasn't because of not being able to sleep, it was because of blood glucose swings with my diabetic daughter. We were up a lot of the night with it.
Really the last bad night I had sleeping was about a week after the hurricane. With no electricity it was very hot and humid and night, in the upper 80's. I just couldn't sleep well at all.

| I have sleep apnea and often have trouble falling asleep. I often joke I haven't slept for 15 years though it's not really funny and it's affecting me in negative ways. | |

| I fall asleep pretty quickly and depending on what I ate how close to the time I went to bed, I sleep pretty soundly.
No ice cream before bed. Gives weird dreams now.

| I can have a hard time getting to sleep sometimes and will occasionally wake up much too early (and have difficulty getting back to sleep). Most of mine seems to be stress related (really stressing out over a difficult work project the last few months). - Black Rider wrote:

Do you have a CPAP device to help with that...or would it work for you sleep apnea? I suffered from sleep apnea issues for over a decade (slept on the couch most of the time), but I did one of those ridiculously expensive sleep studies and got a CPAP machine that helps substantially with my ability to sleep. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | So it isn't just me!!! Not only does ice cream give me really weird, vivid dreams, it runs my blood pressure up (not blood sugar which I find strange) and will give me a lot of loose poops the next day. It is SO strange!!!
As for sleeping, I snore like a chainsaw and always have. I don't have the tiredness that goes with sleep apnea. I get in my sleeping position and I am out cold. I have trained myself to be a side sleeper with me having back issues. Once I get back to school on Wednesday, I will get myself retrained to where I go to bed at a certain time and then wake up minutes before the alarm goes off. I rarely nap. I occasionally fall asleep in my favorite chair after an especially hard day at school.
My wife has a lot of sleep issues as does her mom, though. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I have had problems with sleeping at night too. I tried to eat a banana just before I go to bed. Yep, it helps. The blue screens of phones, TV is not good to look at just before you go to bed.

I have read articles claiming that watching TV before bed can affect sleep. However, if I am tired, I can fall asleep in my favorite chair while watching TV. Maybe it is only bad for people with sleep issues? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I have a CPAP and it helps, some. Hopefully I can get back in when I get insurance and see what's going on. I also have to watch what I eat, I found Stevia wrecks me and I don't sleep at all if I have too much of it. | |

I have to be careful what I eat as well, mostly bread and dairy give me problems....but most of it doesn't seem to effect my sleeping. However when we lose power and I have to try to sleep without my CPAP it is horrible and I wake up every 10-20 minutes. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Is it me, or does Mexican food give the rest of you crazy dreams? My Mexican food dreams make me feel more like I am on some sort of hallucinogenic or psychotic drug. They get weird!!! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I don't think Taco Bell really qualifies as Mexican food. | |

I never knew Phoenix got that humid though it is pretty much only during the early morning these past 3 days. Even the peak of 88% is not as high as most of the rest of the US on a daily basis. Surely you have AC? _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

That's just it! I haven't eaten at Taco Bell in years! This was real Mexican food!

| LOL. Dang I do miss real Mexican food. Up here in north Idaho there's not much in the way of authentic Mexican food. It's almost comical what is passed off as a "burrito" here... There are one or two food trucks that are pretty legit though. | |

You obsoletly have to have AC to survive in Phoenix. Problem is that the monsoon storms this time of the year can bring a certain element of humidity, but remainder of the year it is a 'dry heat'.

| Something about my adult life I just haven't slept well.
I go to bed at a reasonable time and avoid all the no-no's but still have a difficult time falling asleep, staying asleep, getting back to sleep and waking up too early. Yep, I feel tired all the time. My wife says I snore, I tell her the same. But we don't have sleep apnea.
I refuse to take any type of supplement to help me sleep. My wife has a huge regimen of sleep aids.

| (Always late to the party) Like some of youz here, I also have sleep apnea. Well, it's "observed" not diagnosed. Lisa says she'll watch and listen to me and I'll be breathing heavy or snoring then stop, not breathe at all for up to 15-20 seconds, then take a deep breath. It's really weird to hear her tell me the next morning. But it makes sense cuz for several years I would never feel rested in the morning. I'd wake up just as tired. My oldest brother claims to have it too. | |
