Next installment of walk down memory lane is high quality AOR band Liason. The intro album had Dan Huff on guitar and a guy named Jeff Porcaro on drums who, if you don't know him you should look him up. Played on so many albums it's jaw dropping. Lighter fare but I enjoy it.

I like this album, loved Urgency, and really love Hard Hitter. The totally blew it with their fourth album which I had for a short time and got rid of. I don't miss it as it was more acoustic driven and quite boring to me.
What you had to love about Liason was the great vocals, strong singing, and you did not have to even remotely guess what they were singing about. The gospel was at the forefront and wasn't the sappy worship stuff we have now.

Good point, I miss when bands were bold.

I don't have this album. I have Urgency and Hard Hitter (one on CD and the other on cassette). I really dig both of them, great AOR stuff. I've heard their fourth album and like Alldat wasn't really impressed. I don't think I have even heard their first (self-titled) album (other than listening to this track right now). Obviously none of the Christian labels are looking to reissue any of the Liaison titles (seems like we would have heard about it by now). I wonder why?

The album's on Apple Music. I'll give it a whirl. AOR is usually fun.

Jeff Porcaro was the drummer of Toto. One of the best drummers ever. I've heard from Liason, but don't have a CD of this band in my collection.

He was in Toto and played on hundreds of other albums.
