This is on Netflix and it's pretty good
Brought back a lot of memories although over the years I mainly rented from mom n pop stores when I was a teen. There was a Blockbuster down the street from where we live now and my oldest daughter remembers going there to rent movies and games. One side was a Papa John's Pizza. Sadly both are gone and it is now a bank.
Mike is that a documentary? All I've seen is the thumbnails on Netflix and was wondering if it was a fictional movie or documentary.
It's kind of funny the Blockbuster closest to us also turned into a bank. We also had a Hollywood Video in a town I would pass on the way to work. It has become a gym. What I find hilarious is that all they did would take down the letters of the sign around the parapet portion of the building so it still has this interesting design and neon lighting around it.

Yeah it's a doc about the very last Blockbuster. They even still use old computers from the 90's and don't have internet!
Dish Network owns the name and no longer franchises it but gives this place a yearly renewal on the name. When new movies come out she has to go to Target to buy them since there is no longer a distributor. It's pretty interesting.

Cool, I'm gonna have to check that out. Sounds like something both the wife and I would enjoy (which is always a challenge).

I saw Anthony Hopkins in "The Father" last night. WHAT a performance. He totally captures the confusion of dementia. I am proud to say I didn't start bawling and I'm not ashamed to say that I had some tears.

Still watching Adam-12 daily on MeTV. Also Buck Rogers In The 25th Century. I have that on DVD. Found the complete series several years ago for $5 in a DVD bin at Walmart so I grabbed it. Tried to watch it then and it seemed pretty lame. But giving it a second shot now. I loved it when I was a kid and saw the theatrical release in the theater. That movie is also on this set.
