Next up fixing to watch Ready Player One!
Is that the one with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise...in the early U.S. Western expansion thingy? I kinda remember that one, been ages since I seen it (if I'm thinking of the correct movie).

Omega Doom It's a plodding, campy low-budget sci-fi flick starring the late great Rutger Hauer. I loved it. Man he made some serious B-movies.

I've been watching this series on Netflix. For a space series, I like it because it focuses more on the stories of the families back home and the crew having to become a family to pull off this mission. With it being a "first mission to Mars" story, the tech looks right and they are dealing with real problems like filtering water and such. No aliens. I am 8 episodes in and can't wait for season two if they do one.

I watched the Korean film called The Chase the other night. I really enjoyed it. It's a mystery/thriller about a serial killer but is also quite comedic. Something I appreciated about it was that overall it was quite clean for such a flick: no sex/nudity, minimal bad language [it's subtitled anyways], and for the most part the violence was pretty mild, considering. There were a few twists/turns which were mostly good but it did get a little over-the-top towards the end. Nonetheless, it was a fun movie and I'd recommend.

What did you think of it? A while back, a couple of guys at work said it was hilarious, so I went and bought it. I watched the first half and got a bit bored. I'll have to give it another go soon.

Oh man I thought it was hilarious fun. I've shown it to both of my older grandsons and they seemed to like it too (maybe an appreciation of the silly and dumb just runs in my family).

The wife and I watched the first episode of that last night. I was surprised by how good it was....especially since I'm not a huge fan of Hillary Swank.

4.5 stars
Good story.
It had been a while since I'd seen it and still enjoyed it.

We watched the Tom Cruise movie The Firm a couple evenings ago (actually over a few evenings haha; it's a long one). It started off pretty strong but we both lost some interest after ***SMALL SPOILER*** he cheats on his wife but he's still the good guy. Also it got pretty corny towards the end. Overall it was entertaining and not a bad movie, though I can't say I'd recommend it.

I haven't seen the movie, but Abby Johnson spoke at a pregnancy resource center benefit dinner we attended a couple years ago. She has a pretty powerful story and I'm glad to hear that it's being heard!

I didn't think it was a complete waste of time, but agree that it wasn't very humorous. I would have described it more as "quirky". Not at all in the same league as Clue.
