I watched a movie the other day that my daughter recommended. Took me until about 3/4 of the way through the movie to realize I had seen it before. It was from 2012, which means it hadn't even been 7 years since I'd seen it....I think our memory loses capacity for stuff like this as we get older.
I almost always watch movies to be purely entertained so I sometimes can't even tell you all the main characters' names right afterward.
Absolutely! I suffer from the same affliction. Even with movies I really enjoyed (and occasionally watch twice). Still can't remember most (sometimes any) of the characters names.

Glad I'm not the only one.
Planet 51 Gifted
Enjoyed them both. Chris Evans and Octavia Spencer are in the latter.

Daddy's Home 2 Pretty decent for the first hour, but seemed to drag after that.

My wife's friend cancelled on her at the last minute so I went with her to watch "Steel Magnolias" on the big screen for it's 30th anniversary. I was the only guy in the theater.

Glad to hear I'm not the only guy who loves his wife enough to sit through a chick-flick. It is a really good film though and Sally Field's performance is fantastic.

I don't mind some chick flicks. It's been a long time, but I remember Steel Magnolias being pretty good.

I have a few more episodes of the current season (season 5?), that I still need to catch up on. It seems like the show is starting to slip a bit. Wouldn't surprise me if this the last (or at least next to last) season.

What I am NOT watching because I missed it and didn't find out it even existed until it was over - All In The Family & The Jeffersons Live on ABC. They re-did two episodes of both shows and I would really like to see it sometime. Some people are saying it was terrible but I would still like to see it.

Oh wow, I would have liked to have seen that as well....even if it did turn out to be a train wreck.

Yeah, it was live in front of a studio audience. At one point Jamie Fox (as George Jefferson) forgot his line and messed up but it was pretty funny. That's the only clip I have been able to find. They were not new episodes, they were remakes of original episodes. Still, I would love to see it and sorry I missed it.

That actually looks pretty funny. Would have loved to have seen that. The set looks near perfect for the Bunker house.

Long Shot (it could have been good but too heavy on the language and sexual innuendo [without nudity at least]. We wouldn't have seen it if it wasn't for having $4 tix)

Aladdin (2019)
Despite the weak looking trailers, this was surprisingly good! Will Smith did a wonderful job as Genie. The rest of the cast did a great job (especially Jasmine and Aladdin) with their characters as well. Jafar was a little disappointing as the actor just didn't seem as ominous as Jafar did in the cartoon version. But, all in all, it was a good live-action version of the beloved original.
I can't wait for the remake of The Lion King and the sequel to Maleficent.
