Now that I'm employed these will probably be longer in coming. Lex Rex's one and only album was a mostly straight ahead rocker that saw no label push but had some quality stuff. Another one that could use a good remaster.

Actually, that is their SECOND album.  They had a self produced album called "The Devil's Nightmare" prior to this.  It is a tad heavier and a little less commercial sounding.  I have MP3s of it, but they are from a cassette and not the best quality.  I wish I could find someone who has the cassette and would let me do a good transfer, cleanup, and remaster.

Great band.  I may play this one today just for giggles.

I used to have this album on CD and just could not get into it.  I ended up selling it to someone (maybe someone here).

It wasn't me.  I believe that Jim gave me mine to thank me for a couple of free Apologetix albums I sent him while he was down with his last back surgery.  If you sold yours to Jim, then I might have your copy.

I like the album.  It is very much in the same vein as Mylon & Broken Heart and early Idle Cure.  Lex Rex uses less keys.  The biggest drawback is the weak sound of the guitars.  The album would have been better received with some stronger sounding guitars in the mix and maybe the addition of some mild keyboard work.  They aren't as catchy as Bon Jovi, but that surely could have helped them with that crowd.

I just wish I could get a decent copy of this.  Mine is a lower bitrate rip from a cassette or LP.

That's one of their heavier songs, they mix it up but it mostly all sounds good.
