So it's no secret that I have a love for the blues. I love the message in this one. It was very relevant to me today. Thought I'd share it with y'all...

I've listened to some Keb, he's a good acoustic blues player.

The song is cool, but I prefer my blues to be more electric. Sorry, but I grew up with ZZ Top, Jeff Healy, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I like Keb's song and he would probably be cool to see live, but I don't see myself playing a full album of his.

I hear ya alldat. I'm the same myself for the most part. Pretty much every blues dude I've worked with was plugged in. Keb Mo does a nice slide... (though I'm not a fan of this song myself, it's just an example I found easily)

I live in TN and probably SHOULD have a soft spot for Cash. My daddy didn't care for him and never listened to him.
Now, while I would never buy an album, I can listen to some George Jones, Randy Travis, or maybe a little Merle Haggard if I am feeling a bit reminiscent for my old man.

I love Cash, he transcends styles of music.

I love the way that he can communicate so much with his voice to the extent that the words don't even matter. You get the feeling of the song without the words, just by listening to his voice.
I'm with Black Rider...Cash is a classic

I always think of Cash as being a storyteller that just happens to be singing.
