The first 3 Bride albums are CLASSIC metal... actually the 3rd has classic moments ...

You are correct about the third Bride album. That is the beginning of the change in sound but it still has some classic moments. Because you can hear the new direction forming, that is my favorite of the three.

I just wish that Kinetic Faith could have been different. Oh, I love the album as it is, but the bass was hidden behind the mix a bit. The guitars have WAY too much effects being used. The producer definitely wanted something more commercial but almost polished it too much. If the guitars were more bold and straightforward like on Snakes In the Playground, it may have been my favorite. I know it won't happen, but I would love to hear that album remixed without all the extra effects and re-released. Even if it is never redone, though, I still love it.

This was at the HIS 2 festival in Fontana... 1988... pretty sure my blond head (at the time) appears in the vid at the beginning... First California appearance ever...

Please IGNORE the 80s metal garb (which by this time was pretty passe for the heavy music they were playing)... so much ENERGY and the MUSICIANSHIP... and STAGE PRESCENCE...

This is the BRIDE I LOVE... Yes I love their other stuff.. but Dale's performance is UNBELIEVABLE... and yes the black spandex... has the Michael Sweet syndrome...

I was hoping they would have had the Fear Not preorder up as well so I could do both at the same time.

After giving N.O.G. a good listen, I must say I am impressed. This reminds me of Bride's "Skin For Skin".

I've only listened to it once. Musically I really dig it, but I've never been a huge fan of Dale's vocals. There might me one or two tracks that will likely have me hitting the skip button, but overall I like the way it sounds.

There are a couple of songs that he sounds as though he is trying to be David Bowie or Jimmy P. Brown. I kept wishing they'd gotten Jimmy to do those sections and help with backing vocals during the choruses. That could have been epic.

I just don't enjoy Dale's vocals anymore. I'll stick with Silence, Kinetic and Snakes. I've gotten very picky about vocals, much more then when I was younger.

The over all album is strong!! My favorite track is near the end it's entitled "The Great One's Fall"... WHOA~!! great tune ALL the way around...
