It looks like Roxx Records is going to carry the N.O.G. album when it is ready. This is the project that Dale Thompson is doing with a group of South American musicians.
I think I actually like this a little better than the first track Bride released several months back (even if it does get a bit repetitive at the end).

Now I am really liking this! Of course, I believe that the bass player and drummer were also in Bride for the new record, and I believe that these are the same guys behind Perpetual Paranoia that Dale has recorded this year as well. It was just more thrashy. Regardless, I like the vibe of this and will definitely be scooping this up. Between this, the new Rose, and new Lovewar dropping next year, my favorites may have already been lined up for 2019.

Me too, one more song of the caliber of these first two would definitely convince me to do the preorder. Looks like the album is due to be released February 8th.

Love the music but the vox are so one dimensional it kind of kills it for me. No knock, just my opinion.

Another song released as a single. Sounds pretty cool to me. When I get a chance I'll be heading over to Roxx and preordering.

I think you just described half of the singers in rock and metal ever.

The melody is weird.

There is a review comment I haven't heard before. You mean on the most recent track?

Yes, One More Day. Melody is weird. Almost like he's trying too hard.

I would agree about the over affectatious vocal delivery. But that seems to kind of be his thing on several songs throughout his career (at least from what I've seen).

On this one it's like he's striving for something different but instead of finding different that works, it's different that is weird. If this makes any sense: It doesn't sound bad, it just doesn't sound right.

I suppose I'm in the minority here in that I just miss Dale's early early vocal delivery. I realize he's older, and also wants and needs to change up his sound some, but I just personally love his sound on the first 3 Bride albums.

While he can still hit some high notes, I bet he can't do that anymore is the whole reason for the change. I doubt he can consistently hit notes like that anymore.
As for me, I found his early days to be the biggest detractor for me with those first three albums. When he brought it down for Kinetic Faith and Snakes In The Playground, it matched where they were going musically (except for Oddities). I personally like what he's been doing and made his signature style better.

I'm not a fan at all of those first 3 albums, but I know Fundy just loves them...so you are not alone.
