| Has anyone else ordered this? I really liked their debut and somewhat liked their 2nd. On first listen, I am totally diggin' "The Great Divide". The music is somewhere in the Queensryche "Empire" vein. The new singer Travis Willis (any kin to you, Jim?) adds a different style than the "trying to sound like Geoff Tate" feel that James Guest tried for but didn't quite make. While I think it will take a few listens to really grab me, I think this one is more on the line of the first record as far as my own enjoyment is concerned. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I haven't ordered it yet, but I will very likely get it. I really liked the first album, but didn't care as much for the second (I don't think James Guests voice fit the band). I do like the first two songs they have released. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I think that Guest's voice would have worked years ago. His voice sounded strained to me.

| I just kind of thought it was the style that made him sounded "strained", but you might be right it could be his age. I thought he sounded great on his solo album Klenzed (but that was back in 2005). Thought he fit well with the other band he sang in after the solo album (but before MR)....Eden's Realm I think it was. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
