Oh boy Jen. What have you done? I step away from the forum for a few days only to return and find out you've somehow offended everyone
We all make mistakes. I've made some pretty memorable ones myself. Here are a few examples of my stupidity to make you feel better...
1) One time I sent a text to my wife giving her a hard time about all of this money she spent. I went on and on about how I had just paid off some of her credit cards and was now unhappy that she spent money on something. Then I receive a text back from a woman who works for me in one of my stores. Yep! I sent the text to her instead of my wife. OOPS!
2) One time I hired a guy for a data entry position in one of our locations. He was on the job for THREE MONTHS when I needed to have a conversation with him about his poor productivity. His data entry was riddled with mistakes and he was not very proficient. During our conversation he acknowledged that he was struggling and it was due to him having only three fingers on one of his hands. I looked at his hand and JUST THEN realized that I had hired a three fingered man for a typing job. And YES that is a true story. I'm an idiot OOPS!
3) One time I sent an instant message ABOUT one of our Vice Presidents directly TO THAT Vice President! Major OOPS!
4) One time when I was a very young and immature man I had had too much to drink and passed out in my bed. In the morning my mom came into my room and woke me up. She wanted to have that motherly discussion with me about drinking and why I should be more responsible. Oh my poor mother...she sat in a chair that was next to my bed to begin her talk, then immediately jumped up from the chair in horror. You see I had peed on that chair somehow in the middle of the night. Weak bladder OOPS!
Anyone else have a doofus moment they'd like to share? This could be fun!

I'm glad I didn't see it, thanks for taking it down. Don't be too hard on yourself though, it was an honest mistake.
When I was a young married guy my wife was really struggling at work and would unburden herself to me about her challenging work environment. Like an idiot I decided it was my job to help her fix her problem. I called her boss and proceeded to tell her all the things she needed to fix with her managing, company etc. I left the poor woman speechless. Needless to say my wife was not happy, looking back on it now I'm glad she didn't get fired.
I sent a very strongly worded e-mail to one of my fellow employees about a recent policy change at work that had me quite vexed. I did not mince words and suggested that the management was just trying to stick it to us. The problem was I didn't send it to my coworker, I accidentally sent it to my boss instead....the senior boss at my firm. Fortunately he was very good about it.

I almost only text with my wife and only rarely text other people, so I don't really pay much attention to who my texts are going to most of the time. That means that in the weeks leading up to one of my kids' birthdays, when I was trying to make arrangements for getting grandparents here for the party, I may or may not have sent a few replies to a very private and potentially embarrassing husband/wife type text exchange...to my mother in law.

Ugh, email. At one point our university system defaulted to "reply all" instead of just "reply." A whole lot of embarrassment came from that little experience.

My wife is a very innocent, and in some ways naive, person....I love her for it, but it can put her in funny situations sometimes. We were getting ready to have some friends over, several couples from church, and my wife thought she should organize a party rather than just hang out....she Googled "adult party games". I didn't know if she would recover from the shock.

These are priceless. So funny.
Had a brain-fart moment just the other day. I ran into a woman I haven't seen since last year. I started talking to her about her daughter and her job and gushing about how wonderful it was to see her blah blah blah. She kept correcting me on facts that I was getting wrong. About 5 minutes in to the conversation I realized that I had confused her to be a friend of mine whom I don't see very often anymore but still love dearly (hence the inappropriate gush). I still don't know how I got confused. One is a dear friend I don't get to see very often these days (last seen a couple months ago!!) and the other is a woman I used to work with a couple days a week for two years. Duh!

Lol! I'm glad I'm not the only one who makes stupid mistakes
I remember one time a good friend of mine was leaving Penn State college and got onto interstate 80 East to head home. He drove for almost two hours before realizing that he was actually on 80 WEST not EAST. Now that's dumb. Also his first car (given to him by his father) was a Corvette, which was also very dumb! 16 year old kids and Corvette's don't mix...especially in the 80's!

I did a similar thing. I caught a bus going in the wrong direction. I intended a short 10 minute jaunt into town. No such luck. After about 20 minutes, I figured out that something wasn't right..."Why am I passing that shop? I've never seen this part of town before. Where am I?"
It was a city bus so I stayed on around the whole loop and arrived about an hour later. The driver thought it was very funny.
Then, the other day I did 10 takes of a song only to realize that I'd hit play not record! John thought that was hilarious.

I'm not sure I have ever left on a trip in the wrong direction. However, I often tend to drive towards my work/office no matter where we I am supposed to be driving to. There is pretty much only one way out of our home town towards anything worth going to. So on occasion I will drive out of town and my brain will just start heading towards my office (like it's on autopilot or something). I will miss a turn (or take the wrong one) and my wife or kids will ask "Dad, where are we going"? If I realize my mistake quick enough I usually respond with "I was just making sure you were paying attention". I think it might work on the kids, but my wife isn't fooled....I usually just tell her I was distracted by her beauty.

I have a good one about text messages..... Boy this one was a doozey... (Is that how you spell it?).
Anyway, a guy and I were talking at work about weight loss, which in turn was also about clothes. He said "I bought some moisture wicking underwear but it is too small for me. I bought the wrong size by mistake. They are still in the package do you want them?". I said to him "Why would I want your used panties? HAHAHA". And then I said, "Sure, if they are unopened I'll take them". He said "Ok, I will forget about it so send me a text message".
So I sent a text message that said "Don't forget to give me your used panties"..... But I DIDN'T SEND IT TO HIM! I accidentally sent it to our 17 year old FEMALE babysitter!!! Who didn't respond but showed it to her dad!
I thought I was good as dead.
When her dad saw it (he is a good friend of mine) he laughed and laughed. He told his daughter "that was probably some kind of joke meant for someone else". So I called her dad and he was cool about it. I explained the situation and what was going on (he is also friends with the guy who had the un-opened underwear). All of them got a good kick out of it but boy that wasn't cool at all!
And your video with the boobies... Well, I missed it.

Hahaha Mike that is fantastic. I had a pretty good one some years ago that I think I may have shared here before, but if so, I'll tell it again.
Here in California, we have a 10 day waiting period to buy a gun. Basically you buy it and then pick it up 10 days later. That way if you're a disgruntled employee, you have 10 days to cool off before going on a rampage or something, at least, that's the intention allegedly. Anyways, I was very excited to buy a new handgun and my sister Katie knew I was in the market. So when I went to buy one, I took a picture of it and sent it to her with a caption "10 days!!! " (smiley included). Surprisingly days went by without her replying which is quite strange for her. I checked my phone and as you guessed, I didn't send it to Katie, but Katherine (or some other K-name, I can't remember) who I barely knew from years back in college and the only reason I had her number was because we were on a church group volunteer work-day fundraiser thing one time. Oops. So this poor woman got a text message from an unknown number with a picture of a gun and a rather cryptic and threatening-looking text, complete with a smiley. I texted her back as soon as I realized and explained and she was cool and said she figured as much. Haha oh boy...

That way, if your ex (or psycho neighbor, or local gang, or whomever) is threatening you, you have 10 days to chew your fingernails before you can adequately defend yourself. Despite intentions, that's the reality.
