I listened to it again for the first time in a week, and I didn’t hate it as much as I did the first time I listened to it. I still don’t love it, but it’s growing on me.

I'm glad someone is having that experience. I've listened to it three times now and I seem to like it less each time I hear it.

I can't hear anything except the words "Chicken in the crust!" now.  It forever is ruined.

I have the same trouble with a Bride song.  In the song "End of Days" from Skin For Skin, my wife seriously misheard the lyrics she thought they were saying:

"Bend the B's
Bend the B's
To A's--do over"

What they really say:

"End of days
End of days
The Age is over"

I told her that a B is a higher tone than an A and you can't bend a string to that without breaking it as you would be nearly an octave up.  I was laughing so hard, and she got so mad.  She thought I was making fun of her, but I really thought it was cute.

I'm not loving the guitar tone. It' seems a bit bright to me and not chunky enough, but it could wind up sounding great like in my car with a bit of EQ adjustment.

That tone is signature for Stryper, though.  Notice that the left guitar, which is Michael's own guitar, is usually fatter with more bottom end. The right guitar, which is Oz, is where the tone is more tinny sounding.  It sounds like they keep his guitar ran through a small amount of wah constantly to give him that sound.  It leaves the guitar sounding thin on the lower parts, but sounds amazing when they do the twin leads and harmony notes together.
