| I was thinking about this the other day and thought it might make a fun "Dumb Kwestion".
What do you do for television? It seems that it has come to the point where you can completely ditch your traditional cable/satellite television service and still have a lot of options. I expect the options for our members outside of the U.S. are likely a little more limited than all the choices we have in the U.S.
It seems like we currently have way too many TV options in the Staybrite house. We have cable television (which is way over-priced), Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime (for cost comparison the combined cost for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime is less than half of what we pay for cable....but our cable is bundled with the internet and DVR service so maybe it isn't a fair comparison). What's funny is that if you go back about 2 years all we had was Netflix...and 2 years before that we had absolutely no TV service at all, just a television and a DVD player with about 100 movies and the local library. I would be happy if we could completely ditch the cable television, we would still be stuck paying for cable (which would only save us about $40 a month)...but my wife would revolt if I took football away from her.
Now it seems like you can subscribe to more than a dozen on-line television services. Does anyone use any? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| We ditched our Directv and now only have Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. While it doesn't cover everything you might want to see, I have watched more tv than I ever did since switching. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| We ditched cable for a little while and they gave us a good deal to come back. So we'll keep it until the price goes up and we'll ditch it again. We use Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and CBS mostly. | |

| I thought about getting CBS, but only for the new Star Trek show. Of course, I've read that the Klingons are now purple, they gave Spock a sister that was never before mentioned, and the Klingons are modeled after all Trump supporters. So, that means the show is anti-capitalism and pro-socialism. I get enough of that indoctrination through the major news media. Pushing that agenda is why they want to kill Net Neutrality so that the corporations can tell us what we see and how to think.
I'll pass on CBS Prime.
If Directv gave us a super duper low deal, I might sign back up. It would have to be incredible. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| We had gotten to the place where we quit watching hockey after the lock out of the players a few years back. We just moved on, i guess. So, we don't need cable anymore.

| Since I have moved out on my own,I have not had cable. I have a simple digital antennae on the back of my TV. I get some stations but like cable, most of them I don't even watch. Other than that I have some of the apps for different stations on my Tablet. | |

| I guess I'm old fashioned and still use cable for everything, although most of the tv I watch is on-demand or DVRed. | |

I almost never watch any television that I haven't DVR'd. I have watched a few shows on demand, but I can't stand waiting through commercials to watch regular television...and they never seem to be showing anything I want to see at the time I willing to sit down and watch. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | My roommate and I had Netflix this summer and realized we didn't use it enough for it to be worth it. I don't really do TV anyway. If I want to watch it, I'll watch it with friends. All the kind of stuff I want to watch is the kind of stuff that can be found on YouTube by great content creators.

I thought being old fashioned would be having rabbit ears on the TV.
