| While it was great to get to record with Kelly Matthews on drums, I am sad to report that I will not be using those tracks on this album. Some of the songs have mixed quite well, but I am running into several songs where I have this mysterious problem. While recording, all the tracks were active and picking up. However, all the sound is coming through one single mic on these songs. The other channels are showing there is something there, but you can't hear anything. When I plug something different into those same channels, you can hear just fine. I am not saying there was anything wrong with the mics as Lordchain is using their mics to record with. We just have a mysterious situation that I cannot solve as to why those drum tracks are missing.
I have mixed a couple of songs with the single tracks drums and they sound okay. They lack definition, though. They sound very one dimensional. So, while it will delay the album release, I am going to redo the drums using my brother. I have bought a new drum brain (new to me, anyway) where I can record each drum pad individually. I have tested the new setup and everything is crisp and cuts through the mix well. To get the best sound, I see no other way without taking another trip to Missouri with my kit in tow to record Kelly again. Man, I hate this. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Darren and I got two songs redone today. It is taking some time to get used to the new drum controller and capturing the sounds. But, we did it. We redid:
Give It To Jesus Bootlegger's Prayer
We hope to do a few more next Saturday. This could be a good way to work as I can attempt to mix these two songs as I wait for him to come in again. I may also ask Tim Burns who has also done tracks for me to do some tracks.
So, two down and 9 to go!
To be honest, I am struggling to stay positive about the situation. I was hoping to have this mixed by the end of November and out by the end of the year. I cannot see that happening now.

| Take the delay for what it is and don't let it discourage you or make you rush things. We started moving forward for April-May release for Joshua's Creed. Turned into a September release. It is what it is. | |

| I really have no choice on that. It is discouraging, but I cannot leave it unfinished. So, I will get them recorded little bit by little bit. That's all I can do. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Hmm, that's rather odd. I wonder why it would be like that. | |

Yep. Who knows, perhaps after it is over you'll be able to see a blessing in the delay.

| I hate to say it, but at this point in my life, this doesn't surprise me. Everything in my life, EVERYTHING I touch gets sick and/or dies or goes away. My job, house, family, friends, money, pets, radio show, recordings, the list goes on and on. Yes, I know, "God hasn't brought me this far to abandon me now" and "When God closes a door, he opens a window" and "Jesus hasn't forgotten me" and "Trust in God, give it to Jesus, cast your cares, the Lord will provide, remember what happened to Job, JC's got my back" etc. The only thing I'm secure in, is my salvation. I better leave this page before the site crashes. | |

Ahh Kelly, your post makes me incredibly sad. I really hope you are not nearly as discouraged as these comments make it sound. At the very least I hope you had some good fellowship with Chris while he was there recording with you. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Ahh Kelly, your post makes me incredibly sad. I really hope you are not nearly as discouraged as these comments make it sound. At the very least I hope you had some good fellowship with Chris while he was there recording with you. There is part of the GOOD that came out of the recording: I got to meet the guys behind Lordchain and Stepcousin. I found a couple of kindred spirits who just want to make art that glorifies their Lord & Savior and were honest and transparent. They love Jesus and knew how to still be real. For that, I am extremely ENCOURAGED by them and I have an even deeper respect for their tunes and message. Kelly, you are more of an inspiration than you know to a lot of us. While a lot of stuff has gone sour in your life, we all still consider you a friend and part of our family here. Ok, so my electronics didn't like you. Sometimes, they don't like me either and do stupid inexplicable things. That is in no way any fault of yours. If I could solve it, I would as I loved your playing and having acoustic drums for a change. If we could redo some of the tracks with the electric drums and the new brain I bought where we can isolate each drum, it would be great. Perhaps it is time for another road trip? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Kelly, it makes me sad to read this. Kelly, I want to tell you that I really love the CDs of Lordchain, and I'm SO looking forward to a new CD of Lordchain. You are a friend for all of us on CHM. | |
