I'm not a huge Hamferð fan, but I do like them...but THIS... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ...has to be the coolest place for a performer to perform. Even if the music isn't your cup of tea, give it your 6 and a half minutes. Love the way the light returns. THAT is so cool.
Oooo, I just figured out how to attach a video (Gads I can be thick). lol

The lighting is cool, but it was even cooler watching it from the parking lot at the school where I work. We were in the path of the totality.
I didn't care for the music, though. It felt as though it just plodded. I also tend to be one dimensional when it comes to lyrics and I don't enjoy anything not in English.

The video is pretty cool but the song does nothing for me. If it were in English, maybe. I got bored and fast forwarded to where the light came back.

I've been a fan of these guys since their debut EP. Great stuff. I'm excited for their upcoming album too! I knew they made a video during the eclipse but haven't watched it yet. I'll try to do so when I'm not at work.

(Also, while their lyrics are "clean" (fantasy), they're not a Christian band. They gathered some Christian fans because of their EP's opening track but to my knowledge they just used it because it was an old Faroese song which fit with their style, not because of the lyrical content.)

Yeah, they're not Christian but they're also not blood and guts doom. I think they play some Christian festivals though (or maybe I'm remembering that wrong). I just loved the setting of their performance. So cool.

Wonder if they knew the frame would be so dark they wouldn't show up during totality so they could turn around and look at it. They were fools if they didn't!
I had tried to capture a landscape of the eclipse like that but the camera I had pointing toward it lost focus and tried to auto expose. The one pointing away from it worked out fine.

I've never seen a total eclipse before. Partial one's yes, but not total.
Imagine what the primitives thought when the lights suddenly went out. That'd be 5 minutes of chaos I imagine.

Cool video. I took the day off for the eclipse - we had 2:38 of totality. Kinda freaky - the bugs started buzzing and the streetlights came on and it was like dusk only not.

I could definitely see and feel a light and temperature difference around totality, but I wasn't in the path. One of the next eclipses is going right over my neck of the woods, in a few years. I hope to be there then
