Listened to this twice now and I hearing a bit of Iron Maiden in the riffage.... great sounding stuff!

Thanks! I'm getting excited to get this next album moving but have a long way to go. So I figured I'd give out a few snippets now and again to let folks get a taste of what's coming.

I like the riffing style!
Just remember to keep the volume of the final mixes down and let the volume boost happen in mastering.

Rip roaring! I definitely hear the Maiden influence. Nice work. Keep posting snipets. I love to hear the progress. And always good to get feedback.

What's funny is that I never listened to Maiden a whole lot back in the day. Influences are definitely a strange thing.

I agree with the Maiden sound too. Very pleasing to the ears!

Nobody is going to confuse it for an Iron Maiden song, but something about the way the guitar riffing is played is reminiscent of some of the classic Maiden stuff. Those guys didn't play with a ton of distortion but their fingers were all over the fret-board.
Listen to this song from about 0:51 to around 1:10. You can definitely hear that riffing style (but not at all the same riff). The way they seem to keep rolling through a scale portion repeatedly is the kinda thing I'm talking about.

Very much intended to be a compliment. Tell me is Dillon returning as the vocalist, or is it too soon to tell?

I need to clarify it with him. I thought he said he wasn't going to have time to do his pursuits and Joshua's Creed but he contacted me yesterday about a song idea. I need to find out as I've contacted another vocalist who is interested in the project, too.

Right on. The vocalist from the debut album had a very youthful, almost punky style. I could see someone with a deeper, more gravely voice sounding great with your guitar tone. I'm imagining someone comparable to Victor Griffin's style.

I could hear a Victor Griffin style fitting with Joshua's Creed.

Very cool! I don't think I'm at all familiar with Joaquin Figueroa.
