| So I know we have several games going but I heard about this one and thought it sounded cool. Basically, you put a quote or Bible verse and the next person has to tell which one it is without looking it up (no Google!). I'll start:
Quote or Verse? Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

| Yikes, this is a great way to show my biblical ignorance! I would say quote. One that likely has it's roots in Matthew 23:27 - Jesus (Matthew 23:27-NIV) wrote:
- "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.
That's my guess anyway. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Good one Stay-B ! We all know that is a quote and is not in the bible. I think it's one of those made up deals that Mothers used to say to their kids. | |

| Scripture. I think Paul wrote it - Ephesians maybe... or Galatians...?

| Ugh, that's a tough one. It sounds so close to being from Proverbs, so I'm gonna go with that. Bible. | |

| Close - it's in Ecclesiastes. Thanks to Dave Ramsey, I knew that!
Lion shall lay down with the lamb - easy, that's in Isaiah. Bible.

The Isaiah passage says the wolf will lie down with the lamb. Biblically speaking, lions do not lie down with lambs.

The Isaiah passage says the wolf will lie down with the lamb. Biblically speaking, lions do not lie down with lambs. You're right. In my (weak) defense, the next phrase mentions the lion though... but still wrong. Good one!

| Well, EVERYONE says the lion will lie down with the lamb. I thought that is what it said too, but then I was looking through a list of quotes people think are Bible verses and there it was. The funny thing is there are all of these images out there of a lion and a lamb together with the verse printed on it about wolves lying down with lambs. Maybe we should just change it so everyone will be right. | |

| For me this is a hard game. Not because I don't know verses of the Bible. But my Bible is written in an other language than yours is. That make it harder to play this game with you. | |
