Deliverance

These guys are still at it, but this time they are doing their project via crowdfunding at Indiegogo. I'm not sure if I want to back them; I like thrash, and I like them, but 

• I don't know anything about Indiegogo. Will they take my money now or only when the goal is met like Kickstarter?
  
• They aren't offering the perk I want. I can get a CD for $20, or vinyl for $45, but not both unless I do the $100 "whole enchilada" that includes a T-shirt that I don't want.

I may wait on this one as I don't really care about a full on thrash album.  I prefer the middle years.

If you want a different pricing tier, ask the band.  It has worked for me.

Indiegogo is fine, same as Kickstarter basically.... But like you the incentives just aren't there. Sure wish I would've donated to Bloodgood instead of waiting for it to be done. I missed out on the free song "The Word" and now can't find that song anywhere.

I did that actually. Indiegogo doesn't appear to have a means to contact the campaigner, at least not that I can find, but I posted a comment to their FB page saying they should offer a CD+vinyl package. We'll see if anyone's paying attention. If nothing comes of it I may back them for a CD; then I'll be able to comment, and if they add the perk I can switch (I assume so, anyway. Kickstarter allows it.)

I believe you can switch with IndieGogo as well.

I have asked most recently the band The Letter Black for a particular tier.  I didn't get much of a response I liked at first.  Others started asking and they soon added a $20 CD level for us.  Boom!  Got it done, and I pitched in as promised.

I feel ya', bro.  I wish I had gotten in as well just for that reason.  I wonder if we asked the band members if they would now release that as just a single.

I did the same thing via Facebook. I commented on their big announcement thread that I'd like to back them but they were asking too much. And as you said, the $20 CD perk was added. I was sure I wasn't the only one.

I'm not a huge D fan. Not really my type of metal but I have the first 4 or 5 (bought reissues when they have been released over the past few years). And I have Hear What I Say. Figured I would support and order this one as well and it's only 10 bucks.

I can't speak as to the whereabouts of BearDad.  I looked at the stats on his profile and this is what I found:

BearDad isn't supposed to be completely gone.  He cut back substantially with his "on-line" presence (that's what he said the last time we talked to him here).  So he certainly isn't posting much at all, but he could still be peeking in time to time.
