The youth minister at my Church recently gave me Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller, so far it's great.

Miller is definitely a good read. He will open your eyes to things you never really thought about. I've read both Blue Like Jazz and Searching For God Knows What by him.

I've read a couple of Lewis' books, but I find his writing style to be incredibly dry. I had trouble making myself finish "Mere Christianity".

My wife would completely agree with you.
I myself probably would have been hard pressed to get through the book if it wasn't for that fact that is rather short. I must confess to having to re-read several passages to make sure I understood what he was trying to say.
