| So I know these guys probably aren't real popular around here (in fact, they weren't that popular anywhere) but does anybody have their 3 song demo? I have a friend looking for it and I thought I had it but can't find it. Two of the three songs they recorded are on Youtube but one isn't.
Thanks. | |

| I don't know that I've even heard of them. What style did they play? Any band comparisons? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| They were post punk/hardcore/math core. The demo is the only thing they recorded. | |

| I've never understood the whole "math core" title. To me, most of the "cores" are just the same thing and someone decided to come up with a tag to try to market themselves as something different.

| Mathcore is hardcore music with weird time signatures and usually has a high amount of dissonant chords.
I hear what you're saying alldat, but every style does that. I mean, there's metal (Bride and Stryper) and power metal (Saint and Barren Cross) and I don't hear a lot of difference in those four bands.
Honestly, the only styles I hear big differences in are country and alternative (though in fairness, alternative is just a catch-all for non-mainstream rock music - punk, hardcore, goth, grunge, etc.).

I wouldn't really describe Saint and Barren Cross that way. They are just straightforward metal to me. Power metal leans a lot more into classical stylings, faster galloping rhythms, etc. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
