| They aren't what you would necessarily called "hard music", but are there any fans of the late PFR (known as Pray For Rain)? What albums would you suggest to check out first? What songs stand out to you? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I first heard PFR when they released their S/T album. The station I listened to, KLRD, played the very mellow "Let Go" tune a few times a day - totally loved that tune, so I picked up their Pray For Rain album having NO idea they were gonna be a big-time band with several albums under their belt.
I personally love every release, but the album that has ALL good songs and best demonstrates what PFR is all about musically and lyrically.... "GREAT LENGTHS". I would totally recommend that entire album all day long. I am a HUGE fan of these 3 = HIGHEST RECOMMENDED: 1994's "GREAT LENGTHS" = On this one they totally came into their own sound and are naturals at their craft. Several tracks made the radio with this one, and deservedly so ! I love every track ! 10 out of 10 for me. NEXT IN LINE: 1992's "PRAY FOR RAIN". Great album with lots of Beatle-esque sounding tunes. Not a bad song on it. More of their mellow side though. Lyrics are SUPER clear about their faith ! 9 out of 10 for me. And LASTLY: 1993's "GOLDIE'S LAST DAY". Another all good songs release, but not as great as the first release. Love the humorous Goldie song... very clever, sad-but-fun song. 8 out of 10 for me.
Their next albums Them, and Disappear, Bookhouse Recordings... all good, but I don't listen to very much and I don't care as much for those as I do the 1st 3 releases. | |

| I got all of the regular studio albums. I think Goldie's Last days and Great Lengths are their strongest albums. | |

| Not a big fan, but that song "Do You Want To Know Love" or something like that is just an awesome song. Gets stuck in my head for hours when I hear it! | |

| I'll be sure to pass along my thoughts. I have ordered several of their albums including the one when they got back together in 2001. I also snagged the two Believable Picnic albums.
