| So apparently on Dc Talk's facebook page they had a picture that says 2017. On May 11th at noon ET they are making an announcement. So hoping for a new album/tour. Let the speculation begin. | |

| There has been talk of a new album for a while in their camp. I think a lot of it had to do with contractual agreements that were getting in the way. Of course, it may not be that. They could finally have just planned far enough in the future that the guys KNOW that they have time from their busy schedules to do this.
Regardless, I do hope it happens. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I would totally be into some fresh collaboration from these 3 mega-talents ! I bet they could clean it UP with some new material today ! Seen them in concert 3 times and their shows were so entertaining and full of talent. I think it would be awesome for them to bust out an album and a tour... I'd totally go see them ! | |

| I enjoy their stuff from Jesus Freak and Supernatural but those first 3 albums... cheesy. I'd be interested to see how they sound together. I just looked it up and they split up in 2000. | |

| I wonder what style they will go. Will it be hip hop/rap like their first couple of discs. Or, will they go more in a rock direction like their two biggest sellers. Or, will they ride the line of dance pop where the Newsboys have gone with their last couple? I hope they continue in the vein they were tracking when they disbanded and make something that rocks while incorporating their varied styles. The Dogs Of Peace have done this and have made an incredible album that defies categorizing a genre. I think that DC Talk with its various members and musical influences could do the same. I am sort of hoping the same for The Union Of Sinners and Saints. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Whatever they do, they need to make sure TobyMac writes it. He has been the most consistent and relevant one since the break up. | |

Toby might have gained the most succes and was the most consistent, however Kevin has been the most creative out of those 3.

Toby might have gained the most succes and was the most consistent, however Kevin has been the most creative out of those 3. Toby writes the better music, but Kevin is a far better lyricist. However, for the magic to happen like it did back in the day, the band is going to have to allow all three to bring their creative focus to the band and collaborate.

Let's hope that they take their time and perform what their fans want, but also inject some modern stuff to bring in more fans. (I'm not a huge fan of "modern" stuff, but hey, they have to make a living. And to make money, they'll need to appeal to the majority)

| Well that was disappointing. A Jesus Freak Cruise? Really that is what the fans are waiting for. How about a new album, a world tour.... Major anticlimax. | |

Please tell me that you are kidding. PLEASE!!! Hype like that over a cruise? That's almost as boring as King James announcing the release of their new album "Maximus" that they released three years ago and are remastering.

Not to mention that 2/3 of the albums vocal tracks where just re-recordings of some of the better songs off their self-titled 1994 album. They now have 4 studio albums and only about 2-1/2 albums worth of material....shameful. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Personally, I think Christian Music cruises are hypocritical and simply a flaunting of excess. Kind of like a pastor living in a mansion or driving a new Cadillac. I just doesn't "jive" with me.

If it were only Christian cruises out there, then I might agree with you. However, shouldn't that apply to cruises in general, or vacations to Disneyworld/Disneyland, or any other expensive vacation? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| The fallout from this is amazing. Jars of Clay tweeted yesterday that they were "gauging interest in a Jars of Clay kayaking trip in 2018."
Hilarious. | |

I see both points but I think the difference is that on a non-Christian cruise or vacation, it's expected to flaunt the excess.

| When I go on a cruise or vacation, I don't flaunt any excess. Some people might but most usually don't. Just saying. | |
