Anyone have a good suggestion for a dependable CD ripper?  I have FreeRip Mp3 which won't do 320 kps if you don't pay for it.  I have Audiograbber which just won't work to rip to MP3 anymore.  I have even tried Foobar2000 and it isn't doing anything either.

Any suggestions?

I use Music Bee - http://getmusicbee.com/

You need to download a LAME encoder for MP3's and set up your preferences to get the 320 you want.  It's free.

Weird. I have used this since 2006 (the free version) and never had any problems ripping.

Even the new WMP on Windows 10 is telling me it's not possible to rip songs.
I wonder what's going on with my new WMP?

Maybe there's something wrong with the settings or there's something wrong with the CDs I want to rip.

I'm getting a message that it has to do something with the codecs on the computer.
It seems I've to look for a new ripper too. Sad

I had a much later version (downloaded it in early 2015).  So that might have had something to do with it.

With the version of Windows 10 I am using, there is no WMP.  You also have to download a codex to make a ripper work since most newer computers don't have a CD drive and thus you won't need to rip CDs.

I ended up using my Zune software as I can't get anything else I am trying to do what I want it to do.

Ok, if there is no Media Player with Windows 10 then I'm not going to bother to upgrade.

I update it every time one becomes available. Not understanding why it doesn't work for you. Seriously, after I found MM, I kicked WMP to the curb and never looked back.

Hmm maybe it was my computer that was jacked up (it crashed a few months after I installed MM).  Might give it another go on my newish computer and see if it works....oh wait the newish computer doesn't have a CD-drive...drat.

I've been using this program for years:

http://www.poikosoft.com/

Never any problems. Its not free, but it has always worked well.

Works perfectly in Win 10 as well.

It depends on what version of Windows 8 that you had as to whether you get the Windows Media Player.  Mine was not eligible for this product in the upgrade and it is not available through Microsoft's app store either.

Maybe some Win 10 glitch or you just don't have it configured right??? Since I have used Foobar as my music player for many years (it was the best one to do Rocksalt with) it is also what I rip with. It will rip into pretty much any format but I use either FLAC, MP3 or AAC.
