| I heard about this briefly at the CMR, but I have to confess I totally skipped it because it was described as "powermetal"...and that just isn't one of my favorite genres anymore. However, I saw it again mentioned at Angelic Warlord and decided to check it out. These guys definitely have a lot of melodic metal influence and I wouldn't even classify some of their songs as "power metal". Lots of melody and even some decent hooks. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the album (you can hear the entire album on youtube for those of you who can't or don't use spotify). I have to confess I am really digging it, and the lyrics seem quite bold. I think I might have to download this one from Amazon.
Here is the link to the whole album on Youtube.

| Man, there are times the singer is a dead ringer for the guy from Mad Max (his name escapes me at the moment). I wanted to look and see if it's the same guy. It's uncanny!
Overall, I like this. | |

| I had read somewhere that the band was made up of members of Wingdom and Oratorio.
According to Encyclopaedia Metallum it is the singer from Wingdom (and one of the guitarists from Oratorio)....so certainly not Michael Voss from Mad Max, but there are certainly some vocal similarities between the two singers (probably why I like it so much).

| I listened to it via Youtube last night and may end up getting this. However, I just bought 4 CDs from Retroactive and am now getting the latest Apologetix CD. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |
