| We had to have the air conditioning on my wife's Saturn Vue fixed last year. There was a large hose on the bottom of the system that had ruptured and no one makes after-market parts for these vehicles since Saturn went out of business. We had to have a special part made by a specialty shop in Nashville. That was an affordable fix (just a little over $100) to get the AC going.
This year, the AC is out AGAIN! We've put it off as long as we could. We thought there was a minor leak and kept just adding freon to the system. Well, they don't tell you that the stuff you buy at most stores for your car AC will clog the system. Ours clogged and blew two hoses and the main condenser! It is going to cost nearly $700 bucks to get it fixed!
Oh, the joys of having an older high-mileage vehicle! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| We have had a big car troubles some months ago. There was something broken on the automatic gearbox of the car. An expensive repair. But driving on the road and sudden the car won't drive anymore is terrible. It's fixed now.
Car repairs -- it has to be done, but there are better ways to spend that money isn't it?

| Our Caravan is over 10 years old now and has 150,000 miles on it. When we bought it, it had 3 miles on it. I told my wife when the AC dies we will get something new if I can't fix it.
As for my 2000 Ford Ranger, it is still blowing cold but when it goes out i'll just roll down the windows. 15 years old and just flipped to 100,000 miles and it runs great so I can live without AC in the truck. The van however, has to have cold air (and a DVD system).

| Man, hope you can get'r fixed without spending too much.
I've been blessed to have a mechanic in the family. My oldest brother has saved me thousands over the years. Though I pay for the parts, he's never allowed us to pay him for his labor - we usually buy him things like gift cards and stuff.

We had to have the condenser and two hoses replaced. Total cost was $670. Our car is a 2007 Saturn Vue that we bought in 2006. The car is 9 years old and has over 200k miles on it. We use it for a lot of youth activities with the church and my wife uses it to get to and from work daily. We want to drive it for a while longer if possible as it runs great--we just have had back to back AC problems for the past two years.

| The previous car I had - currently I drive a 2007 Honda Civic - was a 93 Acura Integra that I eventually put 275k miles on. | |
