| Will likely pick this up. I've generally liked their their releases over the years. I was surprised to discover I apparently got rid of my copy of Fireproof. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I didn't care for their early "rap vocal" stuff but I really liked "Where Do We Go From Here" and the few that came after. This is one of the few modern rock bands that I really dig. Looking forward to hearing the new album. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I have an extra if you want it. It's some type of "BMG Marketing" release or some such; it's the same music, but the tracks are in a slightly different order and the CD sleeve is different.

| I'm a bit disgusted as it looks like the physical CD will not be available from Amazon. From a 7/27 posting:
"Releases digitally August 21 and physically exclusively with Lifeway stores August 18. Lifeway does ship international."
I'm betting it will cost $12.99 + shipping. If so, I'll simply wait until someone on Amazon has a used one for sale.

It seems I have seen a few releases that are digital only, or digital everywhere and you can only order the cd from one or two places. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | I've seen that too. John Mark McMillan (not metal) releases mp3 to everywhere (Amazon, iTunes, etc.) but if you want a CD, you have to order it from him. Well, technically his record label that he owns that only puts out his music...

Thanks for the offer but I'm OK. I just like to have a physical copy if it's something I may listen to some and it won't be a big player as I do prefer the later releases. Seems the digital album will have a bonus track and then the hard copy will have a different one. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I may or may not get this one. It has been a long time since I even played one of Pillar's past albums. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| On first listen, I don't like this. The style is what we've come to know from Pillar with a mix of all their albums in it. However, the mix has the drums so much louder than the guitars that you almost miss them completely. Ear fatigue with this album will happen quickly. I will have to play around with the settings on my truck stereo to try to make this listenable.

| On first listen I wasn't very impressed either, as it's not a whole lot different from other Pillar albums, and certainly not better than For the Love of the Game. However, on subsequent spins I found myself enjoying it more, even the two or three songs where Rob's vocals are more rap than rock. I thought the drum work was very solid and didn't feel it overpowered the guitars at all, and the latter included some very well done "other worldly" sounds. I also enjoyed the well-placed core-like vocals that compliment the lead vocals one two of three of the tracks.
Pillar's best? Probably not. As bad as Alldat called it? Not IMO.

| Even after playing around with the settings in the truck, the drums and bass still overpower the guitars. I can barely hear them in the mix. The drums are thunderous and way too loud. They are also very basic rhythms and sound like the drummer phoned in his performance.
